Hoverfly Macro

I believe this is a type of bee, I found hovering around some flowers at Lake Louise. In some ways it reminds me of a hover fly but I think it is to large to be one, thus why I think it is a bee. If anyone has any thoughts on this please comment below!

it's not a bee it's a hover fly and it looks a lot like the Scaeva pyrastri https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaeva_pyrastri

Awesome thanks for letting me know, I kept thinking the eyes reminded me of one but it was larger then the ones I'm used to seeing.
