Great post, hranhuk! One way to control the impulsive mind is to not have temptation around you. For example, if you want to quit gaming, then throw out all your games and not even have one.
Similarly, if one wants to control spending, keep most of the money that comes our way deposit it in BTC or index fund etc. so there isn't much to spend.

Getting rid of the things that can influence you is a very good tip.
Not everyone can do it, they end up saving it and when they least expect it they are using it again.
But the act of breaking, throwing it away (although it is also impulsive in another way hahahah) is a good step.
