Farewell
farewell, my beloved Friend
For my tongue
is a metaphor of lightning's melody,
breaking with tearful syllables
from the inside river of my belly.
Let me sing the song
of the fallen HEROES
beneath the soaring relic hills
and mourn the Silence
till the dawn's setting
and those gone to the deep
with the skein of their flesh
opened into the sea,
drowned of all the things that hurt
Farewell
farewell, my beloved Friend
Since GOODBYES
are meant for the dead
with broken bodies
so swirl, swirl deep
into the night's web
and let no defiant wind sink you;
as your profound flavourful fingers
and sweet mellow body
like a precious lamp
found a way into the room
where the epic of Silence thrives
Farewell
farewell, my beloved Friend
Sunlights may dissolve
in the faces of darkness
but pleasantly pleasant of memories
of you will still linger
like an ancient Book
tongued in the Memo of Testaments.
And God bless the days
on which we met,
if we shall meet again someday
in another world or realm,
let us mate bodies
as one at the riverside
flowing with milk and honey

@d-pend, @josediccus @vikbuddy, @stevenson7 and @kgakakillerg who love relishing poetry... In a systematic approach, when we pay attention to a saddening poem, sometimes, our mind tend to waver around disheartening memories we shared together with our loved ones who we lost. The brokenness and trauma may jolt back at us as if it's replaying itself.
It's been more than a year now that I lost one of my bosom buddies whom we share things in common. During the time of his living, even though, he has been battling with a serious illness which seemed to be a hitch to his wellbeing, yet I don't find that sickness to box him into an early grave. The day it was announced that he had passed away, I tried to survey the source of his death; but I couldn't find any substantial detail aligning to his demise. All I heard is that, he slept and never woke up from his sleep. In an early hour of the day — on Sunday morning — he was found dead. The news broke out to me during the noon hour, I didn't believe the bombshell, I vehemently disregarded such, until I went over to his house for a real confirmation. This was a friend, I promised to see after Sunday Service, or latest by evening (on that same Sunday)
Immediately my eyes caught his wrapped body, sprawling lifelessly on a mat. My body nudged into silence, and began to shiver in perturbation and perplexity. I couldn't retract my tears — never cried over a dead person before; but this one was different, sincerely speaking. This was the first time I would attend a funeral of my close one. This is ultimately odd and uncalled-for.
This person had dreams. He had talents, and artistically good in almost in artistry aspects: music, drawing, painting and stand-up comedy. He plays drum-set, piano and others — he's multi-talented. It was through him I began to fell in love with Music and musical instruments. Now that he's gone into the DEEP; yet, I still remember him almost everyday, because we grew up together and shared lots of memories.
Truly, this poem speaks ‘in-depthly' with an overtone voice...
I will rest my pen here.
