Your Own Resolution To Succeed Is More Important Than Any Other Objective

Here's a simple rule I have always followed when trying to achieve my goals, and that is, Always Keep Moving Forward. What does this mean? It simply means that you have to make an extremely hard decision right now, and then push yourself to follow through with it. You can't give up, and you need to keep moving forward no matter what happens.

In order to achieve something there must be some sort of inspiration. For me inspiration comes in the form of 'buzz'. The word buzz means 'cautionary' in the technical sense of things (I use the word to explain something that is 'risky', or potentially dangerous). If you keep moving forward, you will never get sidetracked, because if you stop to wait for something to happen, you will be too tired to go after your goal.

For example, right now I want to work on becoming an Internet Marketer. The buzz I create by following my goal motivates me to take action, and today I am taking my first step. So I do this: each time I make a positive or important statement about my goal; I put it on Twitter, Facebook, and email it to someone who is interested in Internet marketing.

That might sound simple, but every time I do something, whether it is writing a new blog post, starting a newsletter, purchasing an eBook, or starting an eBay business I make sure I include a link to my goal. Once I have done this, I take one more action. I make another tweet, or enter another URL. I might also send a note to someone about my goal, or I might leave a comment on someone's blog.

This is just one example of how I use Twitter to bring my goal closer to me. I am not going to write about why I did what I did here, or about how I benefited from it. Instead, I want to encourage people to take action, and I want to make the case for why Twitter should be an important part of your business. When you are striving to succeed on Twitter, remember that your own personal resolution to succeed is far more important than anything else that happens to you. Letting Twitter take precedence over your efforts will only set you up for failure.

Another way that you can use Twitter to take action is to track your progress. This can be particularly useful if you have an ongoing goal. You may be tempted to procrastinate, but if you are seeing little improvement, you may want to start taking some concrete action. Track your progress with a simple tool, and you will find that the time you spend there is well spent.

It is important to remember that when you set goals, your ultimate reward is seeing them reach their goals. This is the real reward, not the excitement of accomplishing the task. As you begin to achieve more success on Twitter, people will come to respect your work, and your goal. They will want to be able to accomplish it as well.

Twitter is a powerful tool for success, but you must treat it as such. Do not let it distract you from your ultimate goal. Remember that if you do not treat Twitter with the respect that it deserves, it may quickly lose all of its power
