Hey Brainiacs!
Those who've been following me for a while may have seen me post up some "Unofficial Ranks" for staking various Hive-Engine tokens such as LEO, VIBES, CTP and SPORTS and it occurred to me that we don't have any ranks for Proof of Brain yet! The idea behind this series was inspired by the Hivebuzz system based on how much Hive Power you have but it is mainly for a bit of fun and also encourages long term goal setting and growing your account by giving some cool ranks!
Normally, I start off just by throwing some ideas out there in ascending order so the more stake you have, the higher the "title" of the rank, then I run some calculations based on how Hive Power is calculated and extrapolate that to each Hive-Engine token. So here are my ideas that I can come up with that are related to brain power or some scholarly system:

There is a circulating supply of 606,108 at time of writing and, in the end, I decided to do the ranks through school up to the master of professorship at University but that's just my take on it all and what I felt like when thinking of the Proof of Brain community! That, and I saw that @calumam has got a proper marking sheet when he decides on his word of the week contests which reminded me a lot of what I'm going to be signing myself up for again when I start a new University course in January next year!
The calculations lead to 80,000 POB staked for the highest possible rank at the moment so I filled down the rest with different levels that aren't too far apart and hopefully give some inspiration to move on up! I had a quick look at the richlist presented by @interpretation last week and no-one is at the Professor level yet and only 1 account, which is the main @proofofbrain account is at Senior Lecturer level!
Feel free to give your feedback in the comments below - do we need more ranks? Perhaps a different naming convention altogether for the ranks? Let me know! Get that brain working haha!

I think that's ok if you need that for a job or qualification. That could be even necessary. I just mean I wish to see other type of ranking in proof of brain tribe. It's really special for me. ☺

It's good to have some ideas from everywhere and get input. It's how things evolve and have to start somewhere so hopefully some more ideas come and the unofficial ranks will change to something everyone is happy with! When I did the VIBES ranks, it took 3 months/posts to get consensus so I'm expecting the same here 🙂 so thank you for your input!

I'll like to be able to hit the college level. Currently I been keeping an eye on the POB price and am trying to do a little trading with it which is how I'm going to attempt to build my POB stake.

Hmmm, not sure! I think the ranks will be changing names on the next update though so if you can think of any that we can put up like for the Leo ranks then I'm all ears!

Wow, it's going to be tough getting into university and that's not even having to worry about graduating. I think I can make it to college but uni is going to take some work.

Great idea mate, altough I'm not sure if we should be assigning roles with intellectually stigmatic meanings based on stake size. There are some with larger stakes who don't land very high on the intelligence ladder at all (myself included).
Lol fair points, the first ideas for ranks never stick and are meant to get feedback from everyone so I am 99% sure these ranks will change for next month based on what everyone suggests.
It is just meant for fun though and encourage long term goal setting, gotta love gamification 😀

Hahahaha. Funny stuff. It is okay just for fun, but I think the usual minnow, dolphin and whale stuff has stuck to all crypto related spaces and should be continued that way. I'd like to suggest ranking it based on that so that things don't sound new. Anyways whatever you like!😎
Haha! Yeah just a bit of fun here! I have seen the rank system for Bitcoin now which uses different sized sea creatures and I did an unofficial ranks for BTC which took some research into marine species which was a funny learning journey in itself!
