FEAR is important to the growth and development of the human species. We are here at this point in time because our ancestors unlike other ape-men knew what to avoid and when to avoid it. The same can be said about bravery.
When it comes to social interaction and how we engage as a species with one another there is no one-size-fits-all solution. And this might sound controversial but FREEDOM is a luxury, not a right. All throughout history those who have been free are people from privileged backgrounds or societies and there has also been a cap in terms of expressing that said freedom. It is not fair but it is the reality and for me, the reality is more important than any ideals. Anyone who loses touch with reality easily finds themselves in awkward situations.
One way to give people a voice is by empowering them (through proper education and wealth creation). I live in the poverty capital of the world so I understand how easy it is for people to lose their sense of dignity for basically nothing.
