Good afternoon friends, may God bless you greatly.
We all have the need to seek God and we try to enlarge Him according to our way of thinking.
Unfortunately, many times we make mistakes in the way we want to please him and that is why one can find in his word how we should please him, because the reality is that it is not our way and way of thinking, but rather it is his opinion.
The text I want to share with you today says like this.
He shouts with the voice of a trumpet blast.
Shouts loud! Do not be shy.
Tell my people Israel about their sins!
However, they act pious!
They come to the temple every day and seem delighted to learn all about me.
They act as a righteous nation that would never abandon the laws of their God.
They ask me to act on their behalf, pretending that they want to be close to me.
“We have fasted before you! —they say—. Why don't we impress you?
“We’ve been so hard on ourselves, and you don’t even realize it.”
»I'll tell you why! —I answer them—. It is because they fast to please themselves.
Even while they fast, they oppress their workers. What good is fasting for them if they continue with their fights and quarrels?
With this kind of fasting, you will never achieve anything with me.
You humiliate yourselves by doing penance by pure formula:
They bow their heads like reeds in the wind, they dress in rough cloth and cover themselves with ashes.
Is that what they call fasting?
Do you really believe that this pleases the Lord?
"No! This is the kind of fast I want: release those who are unjustly imprisoned; Ease the burden of those who work for you.
Set the oppressed free and loosen the chains that bind people.
Share your food with the hungry and shelter the homeless; Give clothes to those who need them and do not hide from relatives who need your help.
[8] “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will heal quickly; His justice will guide them forward and the glory of the Lord will protect them behind.
Then when you call, the Lord will answer you.
“Yes, here I am,” he will answer them immediately.
»Lift the heavy yoke of oppression;
Stop pointing fingers and spreading malicious rumors.
Feed the hungry and help those in need.
Then their light will shine out of the darkness, and the darkness around them will be as radiant as noon.
Isaiah 58:1-10
Amen. Let us seek to please God the way he wants us to please him.
Buenas tardes amigos, que Dios les bendiga grandemente.
Todos tenemos la necesidad de buscar de Dios y tratamos de agrandarlo según nuestra forma de pensar.
Lamentablemente muchas veces nos equivocamos en la forma que queremos agradarle y es por eso que uno puede encontrar en su palabra como debemos agradarle, porque la realidad es que no es a nuestro modo y forma de pensar, sino que es a su paracer.
El texto que les quiero compartir hoy dice así.
Grita con la voz de un toque de trompeta.
¡Grita fuerte! No seas tímido.
¡Háblale a mi pueblo Israel de sus pecados!
Sin embargo, ¡se hacen los piadosos!
Vienen al templo todos los días y parecen estar encantados de aprender todo sobre mí.
Actúan como una nación justa que nunca abandonaría las leyes de su Dios.
Me piden que actúe a su favor, fingiendo que quieren estar cerca de mí.
“¡Hemos ayunado delante de ti! —dicen ellos—. ¿Por qué no te impresionamos?
Hemos sido muy severos con nosotros mismos, y ni siquiera te das cuenta”.
»¡Les diré por qué! —les contesto—. Es porque ayunan para complacerse a sí mismos.
Aun mientras ayunan, oprimen a sus trabajadores. ¿De qué les sirve ayunar, si siguen con sus peleas y riñas?
Con esta clase de ayuno, nunca lograrán nada conmigo.
Ustedes se humillan al hacer penitencia por pura fórmula:
inclinan la cabeza como cañas en el viento, se visten de tela áspera y se cubren de cenizas.
¿A eso le llaman ayunar?
¿Realmente creen que eso agrada al Señor?
»¡No! Esta es la clase de ayuno que quiero: pongan en libertad a los que están encarcelados injustamente; alivien la carga de los que trabajan para ustedes.
Dejen en libertad a los oprimidos y suelten las cadenas que atan a la gente.
Compartan su comida con los hambrientos y den refugio a los que no tienen hogar; denles ropa a quienes la necesiten y no se escondan de parientes que precisen su ayuda.
[8]»Entonces su salvación llegará como el amanecer, y sus heridas sanarán con rapidez; su justicia los guiará hacia adelante y atrás los protegerá la gloria del Señor.
Entonces cuando ustedes llamen, el Señor les responderá.
“Sí, aquí estoy”, les contestará enseguida.
»Levanten el pesado yugo de la opresión;
dejen de señalar con el dedo y de esparcir rumores maliciosos.
Alimenten a los hambrientos y ayuden a los que están en apuros.
Entonces su luz resplandecerá desde la oscuridad, y la oscuridad que los rodea será tan radiante como el mediodía.

Amén. Busquemos Agradar a Dios de la forma en que el quiere que le agrademos.
