Love today is not all about relationships, which means it as go beyond that,and I want to say showing of love should not be to who you are dating or your family members all alone,we need to spread love around just like we tend to spread POB.
Even despite the fact the word love is a general statement or a very familiar one,still people have different views, meaning and definition for it,but I won't be going into sharing of the different views or definition today ,just as I await to see our view and definition too
So in the spirit of celebrating with our Muslims neighbours today;
What is your definition of love and how do you show love to people in the society or those around you
Talking of love, there are different types of love and I would like to brief through it.
Eros love - meaning romantic love, this is the most popular type of love, existing between two lovers
Agape love- meaning selfless love, this is the best type of love, it gives without expecting anything in return. Equal love, love without a reason.
Storge love - love for Familiarity, these type of love exists among family members, love from birth
Philia love - love for Equals, this exists between friends and peers
Philautia love - self love, this is the reason why no one would find pleasure in touching an electrically charge surface or enter into a lions den.
Generally speaking
The Christian and Muslim books of law speaks of love to do to others the same way you would like them to do to you.
So before doing anything, ask yourself the question would I be happy or feel good if this was done to me ?
i love this content which speaks about love, God is love, He loves us irrespective of who we are , the bible says "when we are yet sinners JESUS died for us" and now God want us that is we men to also love each other as we love our selfs, my people in this community develop Agape love

My definition of love is Agape love - "Being there for others but never leaving yourself behind
Agape love is one of the kinds of love that should be shared among us.
Love selflessly without expecting anything in return.
Thank you, for questions, love is a beautiful thing and love can not be compare to anything in life, God himself is love, that is why he lead himself for us and Love over look and over take everything.
If we have gift of prophecy, healing, speaking in tongues and you do not have love bible said they are useless.
There are three things in life faith, hope and love, but the greatest thing is love.
Some do say they have love and if their brother or spouse offend them, it hard for them to forgive and forgiveness is love.
Love do protect, guide, kind, patience, love does not envy, proud, it doesn't bit, cheat, keep secrets, it doesn't rude, boast.
Showing to our family alone is not enough, we need to show love to the poor, the sick, to our neighbors ( love your neighbor as yourself)and the community.
We can show love to people in our environment and the society, by helping people for example if God bless us, with money, we can share food to the poor, give clothes to them.
Give scholarship, by support the parent to pay their children fees and provide good water.
And is not until we have much money, like the way the country is now, we can help others in getting job, give money and support.
one thing again i want us to know is that love is about sacrifice, so the measurement for love is sacrifice this means that you can know how much you love someone by the level at which you can sacrifice for the person, The bible says" for God so love the world that he GAVE I.E (SACRIFICE) his only begotten SON that who so ever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life...., so God sacrifice for man shows how he loves man,

We need to Sacrifices for our love one, Sacrifices for the nation, we can also see our army, they always sacrifice the life because they love the nation.

It takes actions , dedication and scarificaial attitude to actually prove that we love people,but of all I grow up with this church mindset that God is love and love is God

What I do not have a particular definition about love but to me it have to deal with the way we relate and communicate with our neighbors and environment.
This should be what love is all about getting to love unconditionally with no judgement, criticism against someone else and giving without expecting any payback.
To be honest with you I'm so better that world we live in currently have changed to what we do not see it to be and this is all because of you and I what do we do to our neighbors? Do we treat each other the way we want to be treated?
If the answer is yes that means we are showing the appropriate amount of love needed to be shows to our neighbors, friends, family and to the society at large.
