Even the gods of Olympus rage against the machine of fate. They are in as much control of their destiny as the mortals they pretend to rule. How can sentient beings seek to survive the cold, calculating universe?
Defining the Hive
And so it came to be that like-minded individuals were also not satisfied with the fate handed to them. In their groups, they rallied, created a community, society, and civilization. They centered themselves upon the delegated proof-of-stake system of cryptocurrency a community was born. In its adolescence, we know it as the Hive. Through its development, it comes with its shares of blessings and consequences like any system-celestial or otherwise. Nothing in existence can escape the flaws inherent in fate.
The Promise of Prometheus
In return for his supposed betrayal, the King of the Gods nailed him to a mountain in the Caucasus. He stayed there since time immemorial, where an eagle consumed his immortal liver daily.
Zeus and his brethren created a system for all to follow to achieve stability and stamina for their existence. A system meant to stand the test of time and decay. However, this system came at the cost of the humans Prometheus loved. Despite the challenge and consequences, he achieved his goal.
In many ways, I feel we're similar in our actions to the tragic heroes of old. Someone created this system we find in Hive, and we're all working together to improve it despite the consequences. In the end, the demigod Hercules saved him. Perhaps we can do better and help ourselves in the path we choose to follow, whether through Hive or something else. As a community, a hive-mind, we can avoid catastrophe to achieve all or most that benefit us.
Challenges Before Us
It is the challenges that drive us forward. We seek it out sometimes with no hope of success. At the beginning of a challenge, we may fail, but we can reach our imaginary finish line if we continue forward and learn from our mistakes. It takes time and stamina more than anything, as dreams rarely fade.
The Hive promises us something similar to the fire Prometheus offered to humanity. It provides an opportunity for investment, investiture, and income. The price is our finances to a degree, but mostly a commitment to continue using the platform in ever-improving ways.
One such way offered to community members is a challenge by contest. It is not a contest in the arena, I hope, but instead a match of the minds. There's a flavor of a challenge for everyone. At least one competition provides a weekly challenge for users to test their skills against a selected word in the Proof of Brain community.

I look forward to providing more in the future. Thank you for reading and following on throughout my Hive journey. If you like this article, please consider upvoting and following @scholaris!
This is beautiful cosmological approach to the Genesis of Hive @scholaris.
It really sounds like the introduction to a Super Hero.
From there you brought it right down to the adventures of WOTW. There are quite a few interesting entries in the WOTW contest already. Thanks for keeping the torch going.
!PIZZA
Thank you so much! That was very nice of you. I appreciate it.
@scholaris! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @mineopoly.
Did you know you can trade $PIZZA on Hive-Engine, Tribaldex, or LeoDex? (4/10)
Thank you for this well detailed article. I would try to make my entry before the deadline.
You're very welcome. I look forward to reading your entry.
Greetings) I don't quite understand about the bonus round. Is it held every week, for those articles that don't mention the main word of the week? Or is it some kind of separate special round after 4 weeks of the regular contest?
Thanks for your question! The new season has a bonus round that will last 1-2 weeks depending on participation. It will occur after the 4th round. We are currently on our 1st round with the Word of the Week being Hive.
The challenge for the upcoming bonus round is currently unknown.
Thank you)
You are very welcome friend.
Really well-written @scholaris . It's a pity you can't take part in the contest yourself :-) I love the comparative. It alludes to humanity constantly recycling the idea of hive-mind through the ages and in society as a means to collaborate and grow stronger as a unit. It takes many forms but they all have the same central themes. Quickfire question: on proofofbrain.blog, how does one filter to find all the articles tagged with the wotw tag? It's easy in proofofbrain.io but I can't seem to find out how to do it in the blog version.
Thank you for the compliment. I don't mind not participating. Regarding the proofofbrain.blog, that function isn't available for the POB side. It's only there for Hive. I communicated that to @leprechaun in an earlier post for POB-Ecency. I feel it will get done in time.
I know Leprechaun had a proposal for POB-Ecency's development, but I'm not sure at what point he is in the project. Best to give these things time if we want them done properly I guess. Keep giving feedback though and make sure you tag him on anything you find.
You are very welcome. You write beautifully; very creative and eloquent.
re the blog question, ok, that makes sense. Was just not sure if I was missing something. While I'm about it then lol, I find the POB and Hive wallet values fluctuate like crazy using the 7-day average Hive price as a mechanism for valuation in FIAT 🤑. It seems to me that this is not a good way to provide any sense of accuracy as my wallet balance in USD terms literally jumps and dives from day to day😱, even if POB itself is being more stable....🙄 I am staking anyway or giving away in my new monthly contest for new Hivers so the USD value is not critical, but if we are going to have a USD value shown then I feel it should be of some use. When my wallet value is this volatile, it's distracting 🤣🤣 🤣 Are the developers of the blog website going to have a live-linked price feed into the POB and HIVE individual wallets at some point to provide a more accurate wallet value in FIAT, as in show the POB wallet value in FIAT terms based on the actual current price of POB, or is this something that is just not possible @leprechaun ? As always, very much in awe of the amazing things you have done already with the new site and the time and effort that it must be taking to develop and improve, so there is much gratitude sent your way too👊🤗
All thanks to Leprechaun. He proposed the project and did the work. Getting it approved seemed easy.
You always updating the community the current new, thank you for your concern
