Hello, community, Happy Fungi Friday to you all. This post is a contribution to the #FungiFriday community hosted by @ewkaw. Thank, you @ewkaw for motivating me to learn about many different kinds of fungi in this community. Today I am sharing one recipe here made with one large horse mushroom Agaricus arvensis, which I found in the park.
It was nicely shining in the grass when I was walking home from work.
It was a beautiful young but big one without any worms or insects.
By weight, it was 189 grams. Enough for both of us to make a side dish for dinner.
I cut it in halves and used
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
Mixed all together and sprinkled on the mushroom.
I made my vegan marinating paste which I use for vegan recipes using peanuts, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, and tandoori masala blended to a fine paste using a mixer.
Using 2 tbsp of tandoori paste I coated both halves nicely. And put them in a pie pan brushed with oil.
We don't have a grill so I used the oven on the grill setting at about 300 C And grilled them.
After 3 minutes flipped them and grilled for about 2 minutes more.
They were ready to serve.
I put them together with sliced red cabbage tomato and avocado.
Poured extra tandoori sauce from the pie pan.
And enjoyed that tasty delicious tandoori mushroom with Indian flatbread chapatis.
