Breaking the Loop: My Journey to Reclaim Focus from My Phone

Right from the start of humanity that have been a lot of different things that we have been struggling with and its seems to be a challenge that we are not able to overcome yet it is something that we are struggling with for a very frequent time and that is what we have actually made a part of our life as well which is something that we never wanted but just because of different factors it became an reality that we are surviving with.

The modern lifestyle that we are living in is actually getting dominated with the digital aspect quite a lot and everything is having its influence now and then which is something that is making our life a lot more digitally oriented which is what is actually promoting a lot of habits that are digitally influenced and that list is really a very big one which is also why there are a couple of habits which we want to be getting rid of but we are not able to.

One of such habits which I personally want to get rid of and be completely free from is to be having that particular sensation of checking my phone for everything a notification that buses which is something that is actually a very big and silent killer as well in terms of productivity and attention Ana lot of other factors as well because it is always going to be repetitive action that we are getting involved in and that is obviously going to be something that will just be looking up as a thing that is going to be requiring a few second but it ends up taking a couple of minutes and then half an hour and such wave it takes up a lot of time which is a complete waste.

Every single action that we do on the digital aspect is often going to be attached with a dopamine system as every thing is going to be looking like a small reward that we are getting and also will make us feel a little bit of pleasure as well and just because of that particular aspect we are continuously getting involved in many of the digital habits that we don't really want to and also don't need to which is something that we need to be thinking about because just because actually getting involved in things that we should not have got into which is actually quite harmful for us.

The habit that I want to kill is obviously going to be the particular sensation of just checking my phone whenever there is a notification and after that just looking at different things once the phone is in my hand and in just particular that manner it is going to be taking up a lot of time which was something that I never intended to and in that particular wave I am going to be looking at content that is so by the algorithm which they want us to consume and all of this is definitely going to be making me feel a lot more disoriented at the end as well and also not let me have that optimum amount of focus which I could have achieved if I never really got into this.

The worst part about all of this is the fact that I am not able to get away from it even after knowing it for a fact that it is not something that is really good thing to be involved in but at the same time it is also a cycle that happen at different parts of the day as well and that two on multiple occasions which is something that I don't really feel good when I realise it because it is something that has become a kind of habit which I can't really get away from.

It feels very difficult to break because it has been so psychologically built together in a good manner that they are actually attacking our attention span in such a manner that we are not able to just get away from it. After all, there are a lot of reasons why we are continuously hooked to these aspects, which is going to be about social validation, which is something that we all crave in the modern lifestyle, along with the fact that the fear of missing out on things that are happening around us is also not letting us stay away from our digital devices.

There are many bad impact of this particular habit which is something that we need to realise and one of the biggest of them is obviously going to be the reduce amount of attention span that we can help which is something that is actually been taken up by all of these applications and notifications and all of the other activities that we are involved in with our phone which is actually going to be not letting us focus on any other thing even if we wanted to as well which is actually even impossible in the middle of so many notifications that we are receiving now and then.

All of this is definitely also taking up a lot of space on our emotional aspect as well because there is a lot of effort that we need to be giving to be actually catering to all of the things that we are receiving which is why we also do feel emotionally exhausted at a period as well which is actually going to be ending up at a particular state when we feel very much demotivated in such a manner that we are doing nothing yet we are having two face a lot of these kind of aspect which is actually making us feel bad.

I realise that this is a bad habit that I have because it is actually very much visible for me and I realise it a very long time ago but yet I have got no solution to it because even if when I don't really need my phone I do and up checking it regardless of any notification that I received I just do it for the sake of doing it and I can't resist doing that as well which is something that is really not good thing to be engaged in as well.

I have actually implemented quite a lot of other activities as well that were intended to be breaking this particular habit into a complete stop but it was also something that I could not absolute do completely and it is something that is work in progress even now after so much of time as well but surely it is obviously going to be remaining as one of those things which I want to be getting rid of.

There are many such digital habits that we are involved in and some of them are obviously not going to be a really great want to be involved in and obviously many of them are something which we want to be getting rid of but we are not able to but it is something that we need to realize that it is actually causing a lot of issues to us which is something that we should be avoiding and for that only reason we should be getting away from it by which our way it works for us and that is something that we need to be implementing as well.
