I would like to thank @kadoshmenorah for creating this logo for me. I am still trying to make it work to replace my photo, but will focus in on that later.

Hive Communities on Steemit/Comunidades "colmena" en Steemit

As many of you may be aware communities have been released on Steemit.com. First I must say I am still learning about these communities, but see some advantages to having our Discord Community include a hive-community.

Our community is open to general topics for new and established users. We have a focus on both English and Spanish, although use of this Hive Community is not limited to those languages. R2cornell has made efforts to support many users who do not gain the exposure for their publications. Many are of high quality, while other users are new and are still learning the platform. We encourage members to support each other by leaving comments on good publications and up-voting. Also to offer guidance and feedback to newer users/members.

Nuestra comunidad está abierta a temas generales para usuarios nuevos y establecidos. Nos centramos tanto en el inglés como en el español, aunque no estamos limitados a esos idiomas. I do not see this hive community replacing our Discord Community. We will continue to have the channels for post promotion which is an excellent way for our curators to find your work. Discord is where we will gather information for our weekly Curation Report. Hive-152200 should be a place where anyone can see publications from our community members, and ideally do some of their own curating.

I have seen a few publications from members using other hive communities. This is as it should be, in that there are some specialized hive communities where you may want to publish from. I am a member of a few myself, and as this grows I am sure there will be more.

As I stated earlier I am still learning about these communities. I have figured out that you can publish directly from hive-152200 (R2cornell) or through steemit.com. From Steemit you have to enter hive-152200 as the first tag for itto show up in the community. From the community itself it will place hive-152200 as the first tag. You can continue using neoxian, dblog, photo, spanish, palnet, tags like you have done in the past. Your publication will show up on their sites like you have been. And you should earn their tokens the same as always.

In order for this to work you can publish only through the community or through Steemit.com. I am going to publish this through our community. This brings us to the end of this introduction to our new hive community. The community section is still in beta and I would expect additional changes and improvements. I wanted to get the community created, knowing I would be learning as we move forward. In time the full potential for this new tool will reveal itself.
