Hace unos días @danielvehe dio inicio a un nuevo reto relacionado con la fotografía y la edición. Pueden revisar la info aquí ¡y animarse a participar!
Decidida a no quedarme atrás y entrar al reto, comencé el día tomándome fotos para aprovechar la luz de la mañana.
Curiosamente me enteré hoy también de esta comunidad. La premisa de Faces of Hive es muy sencilla: un espacio para compartir selfies.
Y yo dije bueno, está bien, esto era lo que me hacía falta.

Determined not to stay behind and enter the challenge, I started the day by taking photos to take advantage of the morning light.
Curiously, I also found out about this community today. The premise of Faces of Hive is very simple: a space to share selfies.

En la era de la inmediatez y la información, ahora la posibilidad de retratarnos está al alcance de nuestra mano.
Verse a uno mismo fuera de sí, es una cosa mágica. Y quizás por la facilidad con la que se pueda hacer ahora, esto se haya desvirtuado.
I love taking selfies. And as a result of taking the photos for the challenge, I was thinking about the creative and expressive power that selfies can have.
Like self - portraits,the selfie is a way of portraying yourself.
In the age of immediacy and information, the possibility of portraying us is now at our fingertips.
Seeing yourself outside yourself is a magical thing. And perhaps because of the ease with which it can be done now, this has been distorted.
What follows will be me redeeming the selfie. For my effort to want to give a more significant place to all things.

Y bueno, eso implica hacerme selfies de vez en cuando.
I don't have the answers. I really don't know which line separates one from the other. But I remain fascinated on how we represent – we portray ourselves, in this modern world.
What I do in this space is constantly self-portrait. Not always with photographs. Almost always with words. As if to see if there is something hidden that I can only discover through the contemplation of what I have created.
For the sense of transcendence. For not forgetting me. For leaving a living record of myself. Whether it is in a deep or “superficial” sense because in the end, everything we do with our hands or come out of our mouth, inevitably speaks of who we are.
