Coffee Musings | Savory from now on!

Hello there, coffee lovers!

In the middle of a busy week, we went out for coffee and also for a nice chat. It is the normal thing to do when the stress of work gets high and we need some semblance of respite to keep pushing through out projects.

As usual, we came into @lapanetteria to have our usual cup of black coffee and some dessert. This time, the idea was testing if the desserts were as fresh as they should. Spoiler alert, it was not. It seems a common issue nowadays. I bet it has to do with the price of the dollar going up each day. There is not that many people coming in for those sweets. People tend to get into their survival mode and buy only the kind of bread they need.

So there we were again, eating a dessert that was not stale but already started to have that acidic flavor of going past its freshness. It is a pity. This means we are switching to other kinds of sweets or just eating the savory options. Those are usually fresh since it is a product with higher rotation. The shelves of theses savory treats are usually empty and refilled more than once during a day's work.

Anyways, during our time at the bakery, we met with @octocel's aunt @sandracabrera. She made this joke about finding us at the place every day with some kind of sweet. It is not wrong. We do not go there every day, but it seems funny to find her there as well. Funny coincidence.

We spent the rest of the afternoon taking about many things. For example, @octocel is having a room cleaned at her place to make it into a a home office. It is the kind of endeavor necessary to have a suitable place to create the habit of leaving work in one place and focusing on other things during the day. It might also give her better sleep quality.

As for me, it was the week when I finished making my instrument commissions. It was a nice week and I got to test many aspects of the instruments and set them. For now, I am waiting to get the final payments for both, but the job is done and I can get back to the stock instruments. Those will be made with a lot of patience and not rushing work.

As for her aunt and cousin, we heard about a room with tools and some other things that might come in handy if they decide to give them away or sell. I would love to have a look at the things they have available and check if anything would work for my workshop. Who knows what kind of tools might be resting and gathering rust? It would be awesome to find out there is a hidden gem in there.

For the moment, the best part of the day was sharing some time with my girlfriend with a hit cup of coffee to take off from the silent times and also keep sharp during the whole lot of listening to do.

I won't be enjoying it if it is not fresh, too. Anyway, it's the moment that counts and the people you're with that makes it more enjoyable.

By the way, I'm just curious. How did you format the photos, where you can just swipe to view some of them? Can you please share the codes?

I see it's been a tough week for you too, brother, so yes, you have to find time to relax, have a coffee, and chat with friends; it's the best way to deal with work stress. Sending you a big hug!...
