These last few mornings in December, I've had to wake up much earlier than usual to get to work because they changed the start time, and that's why every morning that has passed has been very special, because they start with a nice cup of hot coffee when the sun is just rising. The Christmas atmosphere that my mother created in the house this year is the perfect combination to boost my energy and transform any morning into something wonderful. So my day today began at a table dressed in red, with a red mug that we only use at Christmas time because it matches the decorations, and the most fun part, a little ornament that adds a special touch and that great aroma of freshly brewed coffee every morning.
We're already halfway through the week, so I woke up in the best mood. The sun was just rising, and its rays streamed through the window and fell right on the table where I sit every morning to have breakfast and drink my black coffee, where the cup lit up as if it wanted to highlight the color of the coffee. That's why it was so impressive, and that's why it was a moment to pause and appreciate it, which is something that rarely happens. In the background is our Christmas tree, creating a unique scene of how simple happiness can be.

This has been a wonderful Christmas, starting the month with my sister's birthday, decorating the whole house with festive decorations, each one of which is special and a small, emotional symbol that makes everything so beautiful. That's why the decorated tablecloth, the white reindeer figurine, and every detail seemed to accompany the perfect moment of my morning as I drank my coffee and thought about adding more decorations to the table, since it still looks empty. My mom immediately said she would fix it today, but at the same time reminded us that beautiful things are almost always found in everyday life and that perhaps adding more things would make it look overloaded.
I didn't make the coffee, since my mom woke up much earlier and made it ahead of time, so when I woke up it was already ready. I poured my cup and took a small sip of coffee. It was hot, but the combination was perfect: the warmth of the coffee against the cold of the morning, the presence of sunlight, and the house with that Christmas atmosphere. It was one of those moments that are unique and you have to be grateful for the opportunity to enjoy them because, if we think about it, Christmas only comes once a year and to achieve that scene we have to wait a long time, so that's why every sip was so delicious, but I couldn't have another cup of coffee because I had to get ready to go out.

So it was something that, without much planning, turned out for the best. Sometimes we think we need big plans to feel something special, but on the contrary, with just a cup of coffee, a moment of light, and that Christmas atmosphere, it was the push I needed to start my day in a different way. So, as I left home for work, I could still smell the coffee, as if telling me to stay and enjoy it some more. Maybe that's the beauty of Christmas: even in the simplest moments, it reminds you to appreciate them, and a cup of coffee is always welcome at any time, especially to wake you up.
