If there's one thing that defines Guatapé—besides its boardwalk and the famous rock—it’s its beautiful colors and the presence of art and craftsmanship in every corner. Right in the middle of this magical landscape, I found Zeramic Guatapé, a shop that perfectly reflects the heart of the town: artisanal, colorful, and full of life.
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by shelves filled with hand-painted mugs, each one unique, as if telling its own story. The designs are made by local artisans, and you can see it in the details: flowers, animals, geometric shapes, and landscapes inspired by Guatapé. Choosing just one mug was nearly impossible, but I finally picked one whose colors I fell in love with, for 25,000 Colombian pesos (about 6 USD), which I thought was very fair considering the craftsmanship behind it.
In addition to mugs, there are teapots, small plates, plant pots, decorated spoons, and complete coffee or tea sets. Every piece feels like something out of a colorful dream. If you're looking for a souvenir that’s both useful and beautiful, and has artisanal value, this place is a real gem. They also offer gift options and wrap everything with great care, which I loved.
The store, like everything in Guatapé, is full of good energy. The staff is kind, and you don’t need to buy anything to feel welcome. Even if you’re just browsing, it’s worth stepping inside and letting the colors and shapes inspire you.
I bought a mug from Zeramic to take a little piece of the town home with me, because I truly had one of the best days of the past few years there. A little mug I can use every morning while recharging with some good Colombian coffee, reminding me that there are places where art lives in people’s hearts and in everyday objects ❤️

Justo en medio de ese paisaje mágico encontré Zeramic Guatapé, una tienda que refleja perfectamente el corazón del pueblo: artesanal, colorida y llena de vida.
Desde que entras, te reciben estanterías llenas de tazas pintadas a mano, cada una única, como si contara su propia historia. Los diseños son realizados por artesanos locales, y eso se nota en los detalles: flores, animales, formas geométricas y paisajes inspirados en Guatapé. Elegir solo una taza fue casi imposible, pero finalmente me llevé una cuyos colores me enamoraron, por 25.000 pesos colombianos (unos 6 USD), lo que me pareció un precio muy justo considerando el trabajo detrás.
Además de tazas, también hay teteras, platitos, macetas, cucharitas decoradas y sets completos para el café o el té. Cada pieza parece salida de un sueño colorido. Si estás buscando un recuerdo útil, estético y con valor artesanal, este lugar es un tesoro. También tienen opciones para regalos y te las empacan con mucha delicadeza, algo que me encantó.
La tienda, como todo en Guatapé, está llena de buena energía. Te atienden con amabilidad y no hace falta comprar para sentirte bienvenido. Incluso si solo quieres mirar, vale la pena entrar y dejarte inspirar por las formas y colores.
Compré una taza en Zeramic para llevarme un pedacito del pueblo a casa, porque de verdad pasé de los mejores días de mis últimos años allí. Una tacita que además podré usar cada mañana mientras recargo energía con un buen café colombiano, recordando que hay lugares donde el arte está en el corazón de la gente y en cada objeto cotidiano ❤️
