RE: The Colonel's Coffee : A Golf & Country Club Cafe

The space oozed with masculinity.

Hehe! In this case, it's not a bad thing because it's appealing with many touches that I like. The clean cuts and minimalist colour scheme are suitable, with no frills. Imagine if the decor was girly in pink😆... that would conflict with the name.

I love coffee shops that are surrounded by nature, like Colonel's Coffee. There's nothing better than enjoying every sip with a view or being embraced by trees and greenery.✅

I haven't had corned beef in ages. It's popular in Jamaica too, but I've always preferred it served cold in a sandwich rather than cooked with rice, similar to how they do it in the Philippines. I liked it was lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hot sauce. Now you have me wanting to go and buy some 😋

The coffee looks strong and I do not doubt that the taste was good. I've always had great coffee from different regions in the Philippines.

It's great to see Anaïs, she's so much taller 😍

Hi Milly, good morning! The decor of this place perfectly matches its name. Haha, I suddenly had a funny vision of pink cushions and rose chandeliers here.

The coffee served here originates from Mindanao, and it tastes really good and freshly brewed.

I remember trying the corned beef sandwich somewhere before, and it was quite tasty. Have you ever tried the corned beef omelet? It's usually mixed with onions and sometimes small potato cubes.

Hey Arni, good morning to you!

I suddenly had a funny vision of pink cushions and rose chandeliers here.

Haha! That's a funny thought 😆

I don't remember having Mindanao coffee, but I had from many other islands and I particularly liked the one from Baguio.

That corned beef omelette sounds amazing. I must remember to look for a tin of corn beef when I go back to Lidl :)))

I forgot it must be late night there for you 😊
The coffee that you tried, typically from the north (Baguio, Sagada, Mountain Province, etc.), is usually slightly better and less acidic, but the one you had was also good. I asked the lady where it was from, but I can't remember if it was from Mt Kitanglad of Bukidnon or Mt. Apo in Davao.
Oh yes, ahh I miss Lidl. I'd love to hear about how the corned beef omelet turns out when you try it.

Ah, Bantayan Island has great coffee too.

Yeah, I'll tell you about the my corn beef experiments :)

Why have I never tried the Bantayan Island coffee before? 😮 Will look it up, thanks for the tip.

Yeah, I'm sure I used to get it from Gaisano, and another island close to Cebu.
