Coffee Bean Bag Walls in the Living Room ☕️ Coffee Shop Prompt #27

It's summertime, that means it's usually time for vacation. Whether it be at home, somewhere in the same country, or crossing the borders and going beyond, we all enjoy that free time we have to ourselves or with our loved ones. And when going outside, it is of course time to explore, explore landmarks, cultures, food and.... COFFEE!

This is what we recently did in Hamburg, which is one the more well-known cities in Germany. As a Harbour city of great relevance in the past, the city is quite established with bars and cafes for those that roamed the seas to relax until they have to take off again.

After almost a full day of exploring the rich history of this city, we were at that point. You know, the point where your feet hurt, and you need to sit somewhere peaceful, with your favorite caffeinated beverage.

Usually, we try to look for a less mainstream nearby coffee shop. Something I don't have to walk a km for, but isn't filled to the brim with tourists. Or isn't a franchise that sells mediocre coffee. The exception would be mcdonalds, since they're everywhere, peaceful and have ok coffee. In Italy the mcdonalds coffee is even up there in terms of quality. No, seriously, have breakfast in Italy at mcdonalds, it's worth it. But back to the main story.

So, luckily, we found a perfect medium sized coffee shop called Zeit Cafe that met all the criteria, so we went in.

We weren't in Italy, so it was safe to order a cappucino at 5 pm, which I did. Tanja was more sophisticated and ordered an iced Americano. They also banana bread, so of course I had to get a piece.

There was plenty of room inside, and the first floor was almost completely empty with just one person. For some reason most of the customers were seated outside. Usually those from a colder climate tend to do that when it's sunny out. But no complaints because we had an entire couch and floor to ourselves.

Before drinking I had to test the foam, as I always do. The test is to see if the spoon can rest on the foam for a few seconds, determining the thickness. It passed with flying colors.

Tanja didn't need any tests and was already happy we had stopped walking for the day. Little did she know that there was going to be more walking after this.

Back to the coffee shop. As you can see, the floor we were on, was kind of trying to be a living room, which I like very much. It gives an at-home feeling. The whole shop was decorated with coffee themed things. Some walls had coffee art pieces, while others were completely wallpapered with coffee bean bags.

Everywhere there was something nice to see. And not one inch was the same.

If you were to walk into this place and not know what kind of shop it was, you would definitely be the problem in that scenario. The place knows it sells coffee and embraces it to the fullest, becoming a whole piece of art in the process, walls and all.

Add on top of that a peaceful environment, good prices and decently moist banana bread, and that's a good day in Hamburg.

The banana bread and both hot and cold coffee look awesome. I think you found a great little shop here.

Hey there!
It's been a while since you last posted. Welcome back to the blogging world!

The test is to see if the spoon can rest on the foam for a few seconds, determining the thickness.

Hmm, I'll try this 😁

Some walls had coffee art pieces, while others were completely wallpapered with coffee bean bags.

I really like that, it's different:)
You're very welcome. Have a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Day!-8.jpg

Especially the banana bread made me happy, you usually don't see many coffee shops with niche deserts, but just things like cookies, muffins and the occasional cheesecake.

Welcome back to the blogging world!

Thank you! It's difficult to be consistent once the ball of life starts rolling, but I'm trying to slowly pick up this habit again.
