Hello everyone! How are you today? It's a cool day the whole afternoon because of the non-stop heavy rain this morning which lasted for about an hour and that was it! I woke up hearing the heavy pouring of the rain. I was worried that the culvert might be flooded again! But it stopped abruptly, leaving the surrounding so quiet and not even the sound of the chickens at the back nor the barks of the dogs can be heard. The silence was deafening at midday...perhaps they too, was caught unaware of that sudden outburst of the rain.

I silently poured my brewed coffee and went to the open terrace and enjoyed the solemnity of that moment.

It was unusually cool and serine that drinking my brewed coffee was all perfect! The whole afternoon was cool. Such a blessing to my weary heart. In times like this, it cannot be avoided when you feel that someone was missing in your life.

This big coffee maker was packaged by my late hubby when he was in Germany along with this coffee by Folger's.

My, the smell was heaven! He said that I don't need to go to the cafe because I can have my coffee with my friends at home, hence that big coffee maker! :)

He too, sent me a cute coffee funnel with paper filter good for myself only. Lol! He said that I can only have a small amount at night. Well, I still drink coffee before I go to sleep guys. It makes me feel relaxed after taking a cup of coffee.:)

With the kids all grown up, they all knew what Coffee is to me, along with my passion in nuts especially peanuts! When my daughter worked as a nurse at King Fahad University Hospital, she bought me a new coffee maker with pulverized Arabica coffee. My, it was the best, and a kilo of raw almonds made it perfect!

Cinnamon powder was an add-on. You only need to add a little amount of cinnamon or as desired along with the grounded coffee and brew it. A creamer would be plus with a bit of vanilla or honey. I use the caramel flavor of brown sugar instead of stevia sugar.

Despite all these fancy coffee makers, I still go for the old traditional way of brewing coffee when you pour it over a homemade coffee strainer out of a cotton sack cloth. The smell of the alluring aroma of brewed coffee while you pour it is so that even the passersby could smell it! It is unique!

In fact, a family friend asked my favor to make one for them because they like the smell when they pour it on their cups!

Since Antonia's mom bought a small stainless steel coffee filter,
I am now using it but the sack cloth funnel is there hanging and am still using it. The good thing is that you can drain the granules and let it dry. You know why? I can use it for beauty enhancement with honey added on it. Simply mix it together and gently rub on your cheeks like a mud pack then rinse it after 30 minutes or so. Try it guys, it's very refreshing!

Thank you for dropping by my page and special thanks to @millycf1976 for this awesome community.
