First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
There are few things we look forward to more in the UK then a spell of warm sunny weather - and with the last week and a half being exceptionally hot compared to our usual grey drizzle - we have of course made the most of it - even if it means ending up turning our white bits a bright shade of red.
Anyway, the clouds rolled in a bit today, so it was a good day to walk around the lake with my boy and his friend, including some magnet fishing and collecting frog spawn they discovered at the lake edge.
Quite a reasonable catch, a 2 pence coin, a tent peg, a few random rusty nails and a football - well we didn't fish the football I kept hurling the magnet at it to steer it to a corner of the lake we could grab it.
Exploring is of course part of the fun, this building is part of the lake controls that prevent it flooding.
A fun afternoon by the lake, and a big haul of tadpoles taken home to watch grow into frogs.
The sun sets on another day, the decking might be rebuilt by winter.

That’s some nice scenery, I haven’t gone magnet fishing in a while. I have a crazy strong magnet for it. It has a pull weight of 800 pounds, and it’s small. About half the size of a hockey puck. Good luck with the frogs.
You might have to add a metal detector to the arsenal as well 😃
