Marriages are made in heaven. It is not bout the boys and girls get into nuptial bonding, but also about the union of two families.
Indian marriages is one of the major gala event for Indians. Be it any family or home be it a rich affair or common affair, it always been a point of talk for all. From basic arrangement to covering all other activities. The marriage celebration starts from the dsy the engagement happens.
In engagement the bride family visit the groom family and bless the would be groom. The groom family's needs to welcome the guest and also make necessary arrangement for their stay and foods. As I am in middle of one such function of my nephew , I captured few of the moments. And hope you will enjoy the big event, and know how Indians celebrate the engagement day.

I heard from people I used to work with that Indian wedding parties could last for weeks.
You heard it right 🙂 wedding is always a gala event with many rituals to complete....a good occassion to enjoy life

That community cooking was awesome. How many people are expected for the dinner? And all those snack boxes for the guests, a lot of work that I'm sure was very appreciated.
The number of guests depends upon the host, it may vary from 100 to 1000. In our case it was limited to 250 . It was cook who prepare the snacks and kids handle the packaging thing.....these things have been carried since long...however with the passage of time....and the evolution of event management take over all these activity and manage their own.....in big cities....still the rural Indian intact all the custom and tradition.
