The Schönbrunn Palace was the summer residence of the Habsburg emperors of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Its gardens are magnificent, and they are among my favorite places of Vienna. A very important architectural element of the gardens is the Gloriette.
In the photo that I share a show a detail of the the Gloriette (you can see the imperial symbols on the roof) and its view is surrounded with the trees in early autumn. It was captured from one of the small paths that leads to the top of the hill where the glorieta is located.
El Palacio de Schönbrunn era la residencia de verano de los emperadores Habsburgo del Imperio austrohúngaro. Los jardines de este palacio son realmente magníficos y se encuentra entre mis lugares favoritos de Viena. Uno de los principales elementos arquitectónicos de estos jardines es la Glorieta, ubicada en la cima de una colina.
En la foto que publico muestro un detalle de esta Glorieta (observen los símbolos imperiales sobre el techo de la edificación). En las imágenes se ve parte de la Glorieta rodeada por árboles (cuyos colores nos dicen que estaban a principio del otoño), en uno de los caminos que conducen a la parte superior de la colina.
I share the photo in three chromatic variations, natural color, black and white and sepia tone. Which image do you prefer?
From the technical point of view the photo was difficult to take since the sun was almost in front, and there was a lot of contrast in the image. Unfortunately I captured the photo in jpeg and not in raw. The camera used was a Sony DSC-R1 and Gimp was used in processing it.
Desde el punto de vista técnico fue una foto difícil por el alto contraste, originado por el sol ubicado casi en el frente. Desafortunadamente tomé la foto en jpeg y no en raw. La cámara usada fue una Sony DSC-R1 y la edición la realicé en Gimp.
