RE: PhotoFeed Theme Contest - Long Exposure Photography (5)

in PhotoFeed2 years ago

It was a night magic mushroom trip in the forest in Russia, cold autumn 2021, we were staying in tents with no people for miles around under the amazing starry sky. I decided to avoid a tripod and attempts to take sharp images - mushrooms favor joy and spontaneity, not painstaking work with a tripod. Instead, I chose taking handheld images with long-exposures, 10 seconds in this case. My friend lit with the campfire's light. The pine tree could be lit by another friend with a forehead-light but anyway everything was random and candid - this was a reportage, not a staging. Manual focus, of course. Nikon D750, Nikkor f/2.8D, f/2.8, ISO 2500. I described that trip here: Sauna for Consciousness. Long-Exposure Night Photography Under Magic Mushrooms.
