It can take quite a beating, but hitting harder does not give a louder drum sound and it will not feel like a real one. It was something to try drumming and I have taken it to some jam sessions. It can run off battery and the speakers are fairly loud. Maybe I will get a proper electronic kit some day, but an traditional one would just be too loud.
You can roll it up for sticking in a bag plus there are footswitches for high-hat and bass drum. It has some other sounds, but I tend to stick to the default.

Ahh so it's not touch sensitive. That makes sense. It's amazing how neat and portable it looks though.
