Sporting activities has been in existence for ages. The initial aim was for the rich to get entertained by the poor who are mostly slaves even at the expense of their lives. Thank God for development over the years. Everything has evolved with a lot of rules and regulations to favour the participants. Thanks to technology, everyone now has access to entertaining sports.
As far as I'm concerned, soccer (football) is the best sport ever. I just wonder how some people especially men don't love football. May be because i used to play for fun before I stopped some years back. I played to the point of having curved legs and sustaining shoulder dislocation 6 times. Even now, I find it tempting to play when I get the chance to do so but the thought of injury always withhold me.
When you watch people do amazing things with what you are familiar with, you can only but imagine how skillful they must be and you'll just watch with lots of enthusiasm.
ENTERTAINMENT
Football will forever be entertaining as long as humans are still the players. Some matches can be boring but I'll still choose boring football matches over other sports. The anticipation of watching an interesting match with the euphoria of the match itself gives a lot of self satisfaction. I can watch alone but football is more fun when watched together with friends.
From the saves of goalkeepers to the great tackles of the defenders and the skills, dribbles, movement and goals of attackers, every action in football is entertaining. Even the cheering of the fans at the stadium has a role to play.
TEAM WORK
I like sports with team play most especially my darling football. The team is sub grouped into four roles and each player participates and function in their role for a common goal.
The goal keeper is there to keep the opponents from scoring together with the defenders likewise the midfielders with the attackers to score for the team. Its always beautiful to see how 11people can communicate effectively to achieve a common goal. This is easily relatable to the real world. One can't survive this world as a lone ranger. you've got to work with people of like minds to be successful.
UNITY
If football is a religion, I can only imagine how beautiful and united this world will be. Its obviously a very healthy competition with no much personal feelings attached. Fans of clubs support mostly for fun. We usually embrace outcome of matches in good faith with no intentions of harming the opposition. We enjoy the game with love.
When we watch our countries play, we support them all the way irrespective of the outcome of the games. We may be pained when we loose but then we know fully well that loosing is part of the game.
The whole football world is united and usually stand up against oppression. Recent happenings at Ukraine has showed how united the whole world is against oppression.
We are one body irrespective of our origin and the club we support. There is no room for discrimination especially racism.
A PROOF OF TALENT AND HARD WORK
Life as a whole celebrates talent and hard work and football is not an exemption. Every player has a level of talent and success level is dependent on level of discipline and hard work. There's no room for being a mediocre.
Although I'm a Chelsea fan to the core. When I watch Messi play, I'm always amazed at how good and talented he is.
When I watch Ronaldo play, I see talent mixed with hard work and Passion. One thing or the other keeps them going. That's why football will continue to exist because as everything is evolving, we see new personality and abilities daily, new talents, skills and achievements and It will continue to be beautiful.
SOCCER AND CRYPTOCURRENCY
I really like the fact that the football world is involved with cryptocurrency. Nearly all major European clubs have their fan token currency which encourages both players and fans to be familiar with cryptocurrency and transact with it.
Even football is being sponsored by cryptocurrency money. At least I'm aware Lazio has a deal with binance.
Its exciting to know that football and cryptocurrency can be synced together.
Above all, I love football for its calm nature. Hardly do we fear for serious or life threatening injuries unlike sports like rugby. Also, The rules are simple and easy to learn.
I'm a die hard football fan and I have no regret of every minute spent watching and playing after all, having entertaining fun is part of living and I can boldly say that this life would have been so boring without football in it.

Boss, I wasn't referring to recent age and the write up wasn't about that. At least movies like gladiators and Spartacus gave us an idea of what people think entertaining sport was centuries ago before things began to improve.

Soccer brings people together. You see opponents playing hard to win, when they don't win , they feel pained, but you see them shaking hands together with the opposite team members.
