চিঠি পাঠাই ওই দূর তারায়

ঘরের প্রদীপ জ্বলে
চোখে কান্নার ধারা
ছোট শিশুটি অভুক্ত
ডাস্টবিনে পড়ে আছে
রাজাদের বিলাসিতা।

এই কৃত্রিম আকালে
শুকিয়ে যাচ্চে মায়ের কোমলতা
হারিয়ে যাচ্চে দিশা
বাঁচাতে হবে শিশুটিকে।

একদিন থেমে গেল সব ঝড়
আলোয় ভরলো জীবন
আমি একাকী বসে জানালায়,
চিঠি পাঠাই ওই দূর তারায়।
