Hello everyone, how are you doing on this beautiful Saturday? The weekend has fully set in and a lot of us are in a groovy mood. It is always a good time to relax and prepare ourselves for the coming week because once Monday comes, work will soon follow.

Today I would love to talk about something we see every day. Especially in this age of social media where people tend to believe whatever it is they come across online. Which is a very bad trait to have as an individual.

As bloggers, we put out content consistently. These contents are usually based on things that matter to us because they will be the things that we will find easier to write. We make posts on anything at all, from motivational posts, to DIY articles, to other explanatory or educative articles.

From time to time, when such posts need to be made it is paramount that we carry out due research and give off information that is accurate. In this kind of business, there are no guess games at all. you are either absolutely certain the content is accurate or you are not and if you are not then you have no business posting it.

The reason for this is that we never know the person that can read the post. One random person might decide to try it out and it might not go well for that person.

This also applies in the case of spreading news, and never spread fake news. It always causes more harm than good. Do not say you are trying to protect people from feeling bad so you will withhold the bad news and give good news instead. No, give them the truth. If do not bother giving it at all.

The dangers of spreading false information is so great that in some countries like mine the perpetrators can be sentenced to prison.

Also, when you are surfing through the media and you come across a piece of information that catches your attention, you must do your due diligence before believing it. And what do I mean? Check out other sites and hear what they have to say about it. If three or more sites are saying the same thing, then it is probably true. But if each site has a different opinion and there is no cohesion among them, then there is something shady about the information.

People post a lot of lies on social media all the time, they do this to look good, feel more important or give off the air that they know more than everyone else. Since they will probably not stop it, it will have to be up to you to filter whatever comes to you. There are some kinds of information that you do not even need to filter because they simply do not concern you.

Worry yourself only about what concerns you and when you find such make sure you do some serious fact-checking before you go with it. You never know what might come of it.

So, dear friends, as we prepare for the new week, going about our duties and concerns, mingling and interacting with different people, we must make sure that we filter all information we get and make sure they are legit. Because that alone could go a long way in saving us from huge problems in the future.

Thank you for reading, till we meet in the next post.

I know a young lady who has fallen victim of fake info through social media. We don't just hear something and immediately dump it on social media for people's consumption. It's unfair and those in that category should please retrace their steps.

sometimes even though there is a punishment waiting, they don't seem to care about the threat of punishment they will receive, The proof is that today there are still many people who still do such things.
