With the way the world is moving now, a time will come when every single thing we do will be automated. We would not have to lift a finger to do anything at all, from getting up from bed to eating our meals, we would have a dedicated robot that will see to that for us. There will probably be robots that will help us walk about, so we don’t have to stress our legs, there will be robots that will help us brush our teeth, so our arms won’t ache. We already have vehicles that drive themselves, we are going to have a whole lot of other machinery that will function independently as well.

This is not wishful thinking, it is a prediction of something that is sure to happen in the coming future. There is no stopping it. The rate at which technology evolves these days is just through the roof, every other person is just struggling to catch up or at least keep pace. There is nothing that can be done about it, but to prepare for a time when humans would absolutely have to do nothing to stay alive. Because even breathing would be made easier with another form of a robot.

My dear friends, what do you think of such a time?

If I am being honest, I find it rather scary to even think of. Because while technology has helped improve the lives of every single being on the planet, there are also side effects that are not usually noticed, probably because they are not usually much of a big deal.

In the olden days, before cars were manufactured, the people of the time relied heavily on their legs and other beasts of burden for their traveling. Back then, people could walk really long distances on a daily basis, under the scorching sun, and they will not think much of it. And those that rode horses did not have it any easier either, because riding a horse also required skill and strength, it was also an activity that would help you stay fit.

And then, the vehicles came. And people began to rely heavily on vehicles, they had less and less reasons to trek or to travel using a horse. And as they got more and more popular, things like horses were left to only the rich. There was nothing that could be done about the trekking. And now, we can no longer trek as our people used to trek back then, we can’t cover the same distances without running out of breath. And this is just for a car.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAxm3nacdB7gLmLiZLuYVhHeNsRgxL6WKJoam3hs2B7ZLAp2jwaLFEwoAbLKzAfpv2DhtyvHbJunTbU58RMbxtkvefNK4qj8EA.png

Now, imagine if you never had to walk again, by choice. You are being taken everywhere by a piece of technology, so you do no longer have to stress yourself anymore. For everything you have to do as a human, there is one robot that will do it for you. Maybe, there might even be one complex robot that will be able to do everything.

The thing is that it's just how life is. If our bodies stop using a particular part of it for an extended period of time, the brain will eventually unlearn how to make use of that particular body part. That is why if someone is kept in a pitch-dark room for months, and they are not allowed to see even a speck of light. When they are eventually brought out, their eyes would have forgotten how to see.

That is what I am talking about, the body will eventually learn how to ignore these uses and soon, it will not be of much use to the rest of the body.

So, my dear friends, I know that as the way of life keeps getting tougher and tougher, we will find ourselves relying on more and more forms of technology. We need to try our best not to become too heavily reliant on it, and still try to do things by ourselves. That way, we would always have our bodies in check.

I am looking forward to what the future holds, anything at all can happen. We just have to be prepared. And we also have to be intentional about what we want done, it is the only way we can keep ourselves from getting out of control and too heavily reliant.

If that time will come faster now, I think I might appreciate it to help me reduced some stress from house chores. 😁.

Hehe... a time when we can just kick back and let the machine do everything for us. They might decide to revolt one day, what will we do then?

Thank you for reading.

Hmmm, I didn't think of that aspect, have you seen the movie called humans?

 last year

Nah...
What is it about?🤔

Oh and it's has been long it was released

 last year

The movie is about robot that are made in human form that humans buy to help out in their home, then one day the robots received consciousness and demands for right to live like humans

It's a very interesting movie. Though the part part is not yet out, I have been waiting to see the end of it

As enticing as this reality that one day, we may never get to lift a finger to do a thing, I share same sentiments with you. It is scary. Robots would take the place of humans in work sectors, many will get laid off, how about isolation, even security issues...Omo! It's already even happening.

That means more people will get even more susceptible to hack attacks, as if the ones we are suffering now is not enough.

Thank you for reading.
