It's true that there are two kind of fears, one that exist for real in reality like seeing a lion standing Infront of you and the other kind of fear is "a fear that lives in your mind" relentlessly all the time.
The fears that somehow keeps me away from things I want to get in life even though I try to face it, still they're strong and trying to get rid of the fears inside my head almost feels impossible.
The Fear that Lives in my Mind
This one fear is about doubting myself that most of the time even after giving the all efforts thing's doesn't go as expected and it doesn't always pays off.
Whenever I go through it, I keep on thinking about what if I end up failing and not living upto my parents expectations. like it's my biggest fear to fail In life and not making my parents feel proud.

This is one reason why everytime I'm about to make a decision with some risk I step back because "I don't want to lose it all, took me so long to build it" and than regret why I didn't took that risk at the point, but I was just because of the fear in my mind that somehow always keeps on pushing me away.
Facing My Fears...
I know what's that one thing I fear a lot and I do face it instead of running away and avoiding it, I know there's a way to work on it and take control over my mind.
The fear that only lives in the mind can be defeated by the mind itself. I remember getting scared while being alone at home in my hometown at night because the place was like a ghost town and everytime when it's 1 am and late night I start to hear the voice coming from outside.
It was actually my mind hallucinating that some ghost is outside my room and when I actually go outside to check out if someone break into house.. well, there was no one and sleeping alone at night in that place was something fun in a scary way.
When I saw it sneaking into my room
Every single night around 2 or 3am in hometown something was hitting on my door and whenever I rush outside there was nothing and thought it's all in my mind.
I was kinda afraid in the beginning but than when I got curious who the hell is hitting the door like that I used to rush quickly.

So, one-day eventually I made it on time and saw a coyote trying to sneak into home but it was baby not the large predator and than when she hear I'm coming, quickly run away. They are pretty fast.
Surprisingly while I was using my mobile that coyote made it possible to enter home and it literally entered in my room where I was using mobile on my bed.
The moment I saw it, my reaction scared her away and I was like if I was sleeping she would've tear me up into pieces but luckily I found the thing I feared and survived that thing alone.
When I tell this story to my parents they don't believe me cuz they think it's the safest place but honestly I've seen wolf, coyote and leopard wandering around.
Wrapping Up...
The fact that the fear we have in mind is always something bigger than the actual thing like that coyote wasn't something I imagined in my mind.
We can always manipulate our mind into thinking something else to fight the fear.

Every child has that same fear of disappointing their parents. Fear usually brings torment to the mind, and the more we avoid it the more it would Chase's us. The best thing is to face our fears and overcome. Interesting article from you friend
Indeed, no matter how fast we run, that fear always chase us down.

Man, your definition is spot on. For me, the worst thing is that fear that lives in our minds. Sure, facing a lion or fleeing from a real fear-inducing situation isn't easy, but once we overcome an event like that, it's over. Now, living with a fear that has rooted itself in our psyche is something terrible, harder to deal with and even to understand
Same in my case, hope one-day we'll be able to deal with dead living inside our mind with that kinda ease.

Oh my! I'd be scared too 😂
Even just reading about your experience felt creepy.
It's hard to not feel fear at all, we just have to master ways to overcome it when it comes.
Haha !LOL

Although with Mdcat my parents expectations declined much but now again they have built so much expectations with me. Now this time I don't want to feel them low like precious time. I want to stand firmly on those expectations.
They're parents, always have better expectations from us and we can only try best to live up to those expectations.
I wish you best of luck, you'll do it!
