Forced veganism

‎Hello everyone, I welcome you to my blog.

‎First off, I am wishing everyone of us a Merry beautiful Christmas, and I hope y'all have fun.

‎When I saw this prompt, I laughed really hard because I didn't know what to think at that moment.
‎The dietary practice of most people are so weird and unbelievable especially when it becomes a thing of choice, with no health challenges attached. I keep thinking, why would someone choose to be Vegan? I mean, it's even better to practice vegetarianism as it has different forms. But a vegan diet is completely devoid of any animal source. So the question is, why would someone willingly practice this? How does it even feel like?

‎I remember back when I was kid, there was this misconception, fueled by people's perception about the feeding habit of children. It was said that a child shouldn't be given meat because he or she might become greedy or become a thief in the future. Because of this belief, back then after cooking, if it is with fish, I'd get the head because my parents thought it would help my brain become more active. If it is chicken, I mostly get the tiny legs, because they believed I wouldn't become greedy that way. Funny enough, back then, I was so happy that I got some meat to eat, because most of my friends were denied those little privileges in their house. They have to sit, and watch the grownups eat all the meat, and all they can do is imagine what the meat would taste like.

‎In this part of the world where veganism is oftentimes seen as an excuse for poverty or being broke, I really don't know how people cope without eating meat. Because of my childhood lessons, I grew up not being a meat person. I can cook, or order in food without meat. I'd oftentimes find substitutes like eggs or fried plantains. But then when I crave meat, I make sure to eat it to the fullest. Asides snake meat, dog meat and a few other meat source which I find weird to eat, serve me every other meat at any time, I'd gladly feast on it.

‎Now for the question, if I was banned from eating meat...just the thought of it is so funny. But if that were to happen, the truth is I'll be getting arrested at least thrice a week for not adhering to the rule, because there's no way that I am going to stick to that.

‎If the ban works for myself and every other person around me, then maybe... just maybe, I might consider keeping the rules for the sake of others, but only until I can get outside and feast with some other people.
‎The thought of veganism has never crossed my mind, and the people practicing it without health related reasons, I wonder where they get their inspiration from.

‎As a medical student, if there's nothing I've learnt so far, I have at least learned that I need meat as a lady, and no one is about to stop that from happening.
‎Imagine not eating chicken this Christmas because there's a ban on it just for you? Am I supposed to stuff spinach in my mouth while everyone else is eating chicken wings and thighs?
‎No, no, no. I can't abide by that rule. I'm definitely going to go against that law, and enjoy my meat like everyone else. When we get to court, I'm sure the judge would understand why.
