Heath First.

Huhm, there's actually a time in my life where I was the strong one, always showing up, always being available and all, no matter how tired or sick I am, I will keep doing what I do. I just can't afford to slow down or rest. But then, a time came and that time forced my body to learn, to learn the hard way.

Thinking about it now, I can vividly remember those times when it seems my life was in a stand still and I shut out of everything. I'm talking about times that made me feel a different I'm not even living. It was a terrifying moment for me. I didn't know what to do, where to go to and all. I couldn't even participate in things I used to or do simple house chores.

Later, when I finally get better, I became a different person. I stopped all those trying to be everywhere and trying to do everything. So, my number one life hack that I live by now is that when my body says stop, I stop, when it needs rest, I give it, when it can't handle it or when it will affect my health, I let go. Listening to my body became my biggest life hack. Most of us today don't pay attention to our health or listen to our body, and for some of us who have experienced a huge health crisis, we can tell you for free that health is everything and it is when you're okay health wise that you can do things.

It's not as if it was easy for me to start at first, because I keep feeling like I'm lazy, even though my body wasn't how it used to be. Still, I feel like I've turned lazy and falling behind. But then, I got used to it, any time I feel tired or feel strange in my body, I stop whatever it is I'm doing and take a time out. If I find out that a certain work or something will stress me or affect my health, I will just step back.

Everything begins to rotate around my health and I consider it first before venturing into anything. And it has and is going a long way in helping me. I rest when I need to, I even take it seriously, it allows me to think better, process things and even relate with people and I can tell you that ever since I've made my health my number one priority, I haven't broken down like I used to when I haven't.

I don't do things that will strain or stress me, even though there are times I feel like pushing myself and seeing how far I can go, but then I do call myself back and remind myself the pain I've gone through and what can happen when I don't listen to my body. And even though it may look like nothing or look small, to me it is everything. It is always my health first, I check on myself first, if it will affect me or not. Because at the end of the day, the body you care for and protect is what will allow you do whatever you want to do, so don't stress it so it won't break down.
