Huhm, organ market. It does sound simple but it definitely isn't simple. I mean, it is a very complicated topic for discussion. We see different people donating their organs for others or family members at will, we also see those who are selling there's to people, most times total strangers. And when we ask those who sell, most times it's due to the fact that they couldn't make ends meet anymore. So, why have something so useful and of value while still living in hunger. Now, it's not a crime to donate to a friend or family member, right? But it is illegal to sell.
Nigeria for one is a place where a lot of people are struggling, I've heard stories of a lot of people selling their organs. These days people even post it as memes on their WhatsApp status, just in a funny way, you see something like, "you carry two kidney for belle, you fit survive with one and sell one o." Or "kidney is now 5.2million naira, sell one before hunger kpai you." And sincerely, a lot of people do not mind selling, tell me ,whose body is it? It's there's, so why can't they decide what to do with it.
Well, I think we should all just pray not to be in such a dire situation, where that could probably be the last resort. People are going through a lot, life is tough and when such happens people often get depressed and overthink, and most times that is what leads to these people seeing their body as a means to at least earn. Not as if I support the sales of these organs, even though it's yours, I accept that a person should have rights over their own bodies, even hospitals ask for patients consent before they carry out certain procedures. But then, don't you think some rights need to be controlled, such as this, you have the right over your body, but then, you can't sell your organs. I believe an organ market will create a problem. People will sell without thinking twice, exploitations will be so rampant, some will sell even when they are told that the other might not carry them for long and such.
Also, we all know this is about the body, this is mostly about internal organs as well. And for that to be done, even if it's for donation, series of tests and checkups will be done. But then, if it's for sell, they won't do all of these test or undergo all of this procedures. They know the seller is only concerned about the money, not as if he or she is donating and won't get something from it. These things are done in less equipped medical centres by quack doctors, so most times these people lose their lives, some in no time will begin to nurse health issues and at the end, it will worsen their situation then when it was just hunger.
If such should be made legal, the truth is only the poor will sell, and the rich will buy. They will entice them, brainwash them and all into selling it. Poor people are already being used today, now they will become more used and become a business on their own. Almost all who sell are the poor ones, those that couldn't get help, those that are hungry. In short, it is poverty pushing them to do that. It's not as if if they were well to do they will choose to sell.
Another thing is, if this organ market gets to legalized there's high chance that human trafficking will increase. We've all heard and know that people get kidnapped and some of their organs get removed and we find the body being dumped somewhere, legalizing it will only make them more bold to carry out their inhumane acts. Now, if it's legalized and someone happens to die, they will only say it was legal and that the person even agreed to it in the first place.
People should be supported, there should be employment opportunities, living should be made easier for people, that way no one will be that desperate to go sell their organs, and even if there's still such in the society, it will be few. I agree it is our body but then, we should know that certain decisions can create more problems if not controlled. Even if it's donating, it should be done voluntarily without cajoling one into it.

You're so right, the poor will want to sell and the rich or those in need will want to buy. If legalised, then there will be no end to the illegal human trafficking that has been happening, it would increase. So many means will be invented to make it seem as though individuals gave the organs willingly, whereas, they were forced, cheated, kidnapped or killed to get it.
Do people even know how to live after selling off one of their organ (kidney)?
