We are here again in the final month of the year. I looked back, looked around, and looked forward, and all I can see is a woman expressing gratitude to God for the journey so far.
Gradually, this year is packing up to step aside for the new, seriously, it looks so unreal 😀, was it not just few months ago we all screamed a happy new year? Prayed fervently, fasted even, and set plenty of goals with thousands of resolutions, both the ones we do and the ones for resolution's sake? Lol. Well, it is what it is, and I am grateful for every single thing I have experienced so far within the year, both the good, the bad, and the ugly. It's what makes us grow better and stronger.
Yeah, just before we say goodbye or sign out for the year, let's have some of my highlights of the year; perhaps it could encourage you or motivate you in any area of your life.
As For me, the year so far has been a mixture of stretching, yea, I have been stretched in many ways and for good anyways , I have been learning something new as well. There have been unexpected blessings, I must confess. Again, some months came with strange happenings that got me so sad, while some months brought good tidings.
So one of my major highlights for the years is me finally starting the business I dreamed about years ago. In January, it looked like I was kicking off so fast, but along the line, a lot of circumstances crept in and kept dragging me. My resilience was tested, my patience was tested, and my strength was failing me at a point; it looked like I was giving up, to be sincere. The frustration was real; at the same time, money was flowing out, trying to bring things under control. Finally, I pulled through. What a long breath, what a relief it was!!!.
It took longer time than expected, a business which was my main target for the year, crawled until October this year before I finally kicked off operation, yet, I battled with terrible staff that want to take me back to Egypt again,lol . It hasn't been rosy, but the good thing is that I have started without turning back. Ahead, ahead it is. I am determined to face all the ups and downs until I see my dream turn into matured reality. That's the positive energy, my little beginning doesn't matter, it's a phase that will soon pass, I am optimistic, I can see where I want to be already and I am pushing towards that end, yeah, I trust the process!
Again, around September or so, I started learning a new paid skill. At this time, I was not that good to go due to the time factor with family responsibilities and the new entrepreneur duties too, but I know that it's not too late to add more value to what I have begun within this year too.T
This year again, I don't think I have ever taken my spiritual journey so intentionally like I have been doing since February. Each day, I see myself growing. I see God revealing himself more to me through the scriptures and in my place of prayers. It's been a sweet and peaceful journey with God; I love it.
I also faced storm that made me travel out of Lagos Occasionally, it wasn't funny but in all, God came through for me and gave me Peace.
Finally, I don't neglect social gatherings in my doings, lol. Yeah, I love meeting with friends and having a nice time, relaxing my nerves and feeling alright. And so, this year, there had been fun activities I engaged with, starting from January to yesterday. If I should highlight my fun activities, it won't be contained in a single blog, as I don't like making lengthy posts, lolz. I will just drop a few pictures so you can feed your eyes.
Looking forward , my mind is still open for many things I can still achieve this year before calling it a wrap . Yea, something beautiful can still happen, it's not over yet. So keep pushing , there is still time to forgive that person and have peace without carrying grudges over to a new year , there is still time to attend to that stuff you are postponing , there is time to reach one more goal in your lists,just stay positive , it's no yet over , until it is over!
