I am super exited about the newbie initiative that has started already because I'll get to know more about the Hive Blockchain.
The Blockchain is large and I want to know how far one can achieve in this Blockchain, it is the future!.
My Partner's Contribution:
My partner for this week is @meyateingi, a beautiful and nice lady. I'm glad I met her here on Hive. We discussed about the topic given and one of the point she made mention of is "when setting a goal, always be specific and make sure your goals are attainable".
That is, having a goal and writing it down isn't enough, find out how the goals can be achievable and work towards it.
She also said "breaking your long-term goals into parts. That's a very good way to achieve your goals, and also write down your goals daily on a book".
"Most people set goals and don't know how to achieve them, I believe every step towards our goals needs to be planned" said Meya.
And I told her "you've got some valid points there".
My Contribution
During my conversation with Meya, I said "the first step to achieving any goal is writing it down, question yourself about how to achieve it, break it down into smaller bits".
I have always believed that any goal is achievable only of it is written down, broken down into smaller goals and also note the changes that can allow such goal become achievable. Changes like, quitting old habits and cultivating a new one, doing more than you've been doing, focus, consistency, etc.
Points that stood out for me in the meeting
Writing down one's goal. I believe it is the first step to achieving any goal.
Keeping daily records of how you're achieving your goals. These two points are valid.
My Hive Goals
Increase My HP
I plan to move my 38.108 HP to 58+ in two weeks.
Why?
In October, I want to know how much it will cost me to get 20HP, then I would move my weekly HP goal to 20 in a week. Gradually, as I get use to it, I will increase it by 5 HP every week. If I attain this, I should be getting 30-35 HP every week by November.
Engagements
I want to create time for more engagements on Hive, especially on Hive-Learners community. I would daily engage other users beginning from from my colleagues in the newbie initiative to other persons. Writing quality comments and upvoting their posts.
Posting Quality Contents
I plan to start publishing at least 3 posts per week. But, this month I am starting from 1 or 2 posts aside the general Hive Learners weekly topic. Then I increase my capacity to publishing 2, then 3 post; it is easier to start little and build rightly my capacity and consistency.
These are My Hive Goals for now, I am sure I'd add more as I learn more from the newbie initiative. I'm glad to be a part of the initiative.

Your HP goals is something you can achieve if you work hard for it through engagement and posting quality post. I wish you good luck brother.

I see everyone is involved in this initiative, which is not bad, but what's happened to posting what I like and enjoying my time on hive, by reading posts that I like and commenting n them because I have something to say?
All these plans look like a business. When you make it like that, the whole thing looks like a job, a task that must be done and you automatically lose originality. Shame :(
The initiative promises to show us the way around HIVE and more, which they have been doing already.
This doesn't stop you from writing your own posts, commenting and engaging others on the Blockchain.
To me, it doesn't seem like a business at all. Rather, the plans (goals) are just a guide for me & others to stay consistent on Hive, have results and enjoy Hive in full.
