Greetings!
One thing that's not compulsory but necessary in life is relationships and this is because no man can live alone. We only live not for ourselves but for others and that's what makes humans a social animal.
So, relationships matter a lot and as humans, we must always make sure we build a good and cordial relationship around us as I believe that the people around us are our first family.
Having said this, I would like to respond to the topic before us today which is all about “friendship.”
Like I said earlier, a relationship or friendship is not actually a must, but to me, it's something necessary. So, for anyone who deemed it necessary to have a friend or be in a relationship with others, such a person must know that, there's somethings that are necessary in maintaining a cordial relationship with others and such things include tolerance, love, understanding and others.
One thing that I have come to know over time is that no relationship or friendship can stand without love, so, for us to maintain good relationships with others, we must love them and it's through this love that we will be able to tolerate them.
There's a popular saying in my area which says, “it's a person we don't love that his or her house is far.” Which means, if you love a friend, no matter how far his or her house is you will still make sure you visit the person, that's the power of love.
So, love is a very important thing in maintaining a good and cordial relationship and with this, we can tolerate one another without chaos and hatred amongst us.
So, back to the topic properly, I would say that I have been able to maintain good and cordial relationships with others with the help of love which has made it possible for me to tolerate most of my friends who had opposite ideas and beliefs to mine.
Although not every of their beliefs or ideas are always welcomed by me, even at that, I would not reject any of my friends because of his or her idea or belief and this has really helped me not only in maintaining cordial relationships with them, but also building bridges.
Aside from this, I have been able to go a long way in most of my relationships by respecting other people's ideas and beliefs and this is because of my own personal belief about humans in general which is all about the imperfection of the human race. Ever since I know that no human is perfect, I have not had it difficult to relate with people.
In addition, one thing I have always done with most of my friends is to relate with them based on their beliefs and ideas. I have some who would only bring forward their business ideas and with their business ideas, I relate. Also, I have some who would always bring forward social ideas and beliefs and with that also, I relate and that's how I have been doing it. Doing so really helped me in maintaining cordial relationships with all, giving me the opportunity to relate well and not to cut ties with them.
In conclusion, I can boldly say I can go to any length to maintain a good and cordial relationship with my friends and others without having any reason to cut ties with them based on their beliefs and ideas.

As long as both parties are not doing anything that is harmful to one another, differences in opinion should not be a reason for their friendship to end, and instead use it to broaden each other's perspective.
