The advent of social media has really brought about development and exposure to the human race. Before the advent of social media, people were not so exposed to the outer world like we have now, as we were only limited to our home videos and the like.
But, since the advent of social media, the whole wide world has now become a small community where people can now relate with each other in the comfort of their room.
However, as good as social media is, there are other sides of social media that are of disadvantage to the human race and this is due to the said exposure brought about by social media.
Having talked about the social media advantages and its disadvantages, I would like to delve into the topic which is all about, “Banned for life.”
Looking at all the social media platform closely, there's this one social media platform I would love to ban and that social media platform I would like to ban is the “tiktok.”
Although, the tiktok social media platform is a very good one as it's used for entertainment and also for making money. It's also used in disseminating information to the society. In fact, there are many advantages of the tiktok social media platform, but like I used to tell people that are around me, there's nothing in life that has an advantage without a disadvantage.
So, as we have the many advantages to the tiktok social media platform, so also do we have the many disadvantages.
When talking about the disadvantages of the tiktok social media platform that would make me ban it for life, I would like to start with the way the tiktok is being abused by its users, most especially the teenagers or adolescents who would come to the platform to just come and show off with their nakedness and post things that are not worh it all in the name of content.
As for me, whenever I see such, I used to feel bad and get irritated and this is because of how things have gone bad without any kind of decency in our society again.
Although this is not limited to the tiktok alone as we also have some other social media platform that have been abused by their users, but atleast, the activities of people on the tiktok cannot be compared to that of the other social media platform as it seems to me that anyone can just access the platform, maybe from my own part of the world.
Aside from this, the level at which people expose themselves to the world via this platform cannot be overemphasized. On this platform, you see people recording all their daily activities live on the platform which to me is not the best way of living. Although, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, but even at that, I think we should in a way try to keep our secret out of the public place which could not be achieved through the way people are handling their personal affairs on the tiktok platform.
However, one thing I would recommend, but which I think is not that feasible is that, those in charge of this platform should try and regulate the activities of people on the tiktok platform which would help to handle the platform and their personal affairs very well while making use of the platform.
In conclusion, all these I have said about the social media and most especially the tiktok social media platform is in my own personal opinion and you can disregard it if there's need for it.
