The unrealistic standard of human life

in Hive Learners3 days ago

Greetings!

This life we live in is an unrealistic life and things would always live unreal day in day out due to the nature of the kind of life we all live. The kind of life we humans live here on earth is an imbalanced life where inequality is the order of the day.

So, because of the imbalance of life that we humans live, there's no way an unrealistic standard of life would not take its course in our society.

An unrealistic lifestyle is when we as individuals try to live a kind of life that we know we can not even live. What do I mean by this? Atimes, due to the status of the society where things are imbalanced, we tend to always want to be like others and in the process, try to do what is beyond or what we are even not capable of. We tend to live a standard of life that's not realistic due to societal pressure brought about by competition.

I have seen people doing what they are not capable of doing just because of competition or undue pressure, thereby making people see them as capable of doing the unrealistic which they themselves know it's not realistic.

I have seen people going for the best of the best, but on loan just to compete with others. In my place of work, there's a woman who lives above her means and income all in the name of competing with others just because she wants to live a standard life and feel included. This woman's salary is meagre, but she lives as if she's collecting more than what she's collecting.

This said woman would buy expensive clothes, eat expensive food and even live an extravagant life which she's not capable of living just to show off and feel among, but i have seen her complaining times without number on how she's been living her life, saying that life is not easy, but when in the open she would always live as if she's in the upper class of the society.

Looking at this woman, one would see a kind of unrealistic standard of living in her due to the way she lives her life to meet the general acceptable standard in the society, but deep inside her, she's only living a life that's not realistic but only what to show off.

Furthermore, because of the status of our society, one would always come to the reality that the unrealistic standard of life cannot totally be aborted or eradicated. I have seen people sending their wards to expensive school when they are not even financially buoyant all in the name of meeting the unrealistic standard of the society.

In conclusion, I'm not saying that it's utterly bad in living a standard life, but we must able to be kind of realistic with our living and our lives so as to be fulfilled.

At different point in time the society often weighs us down with different expectations not considering our feelings or capacity and these can be really bad for the person in question.

Yes sir. Thanks for stopping by.

the problem most of the time is not the standard, but the realistic level we set when we define the standard. What realistic for you wont be automatically realistic for me, vice versa
