I completely agree with you on this quote:

Do you know this virtue is so powerful but there are those who would still stand on their ground, out of pride to defend themselves without apologizing?

Unfortunately there are people who don't give their arm to twist at all, they are wrong more than anything, but pride doesn't let them apologize or they realize that they need to change their way of being to not become a lonely person or something like that.

I have learned to learn from my mistakes and try to adjust and making sure such mistakes aren't happening again and this is where I try to accept whatever my conscience is saying and trying to improve

This is very good, you are a different person just for trying to improve your mistakes, learning from them to become someone better is incredible, be very proud of that, because it is a very good thing that you can do for yourself, always seeking be better today than you were yesterday!
