Pahela Boishakh is the first day of Bengali calendar. On this day Whole Bangladeshi people celebrate Pahela Boishakh festival with lot of joy and hope. The day comes 14 or 15 April in English calendar. Bengal people celebrates this festival since ancient times. We celebrate the day in different ways. First we get up in the morning and eat panta rice, fried hilsa fish and various kinds of mash on this day. Baishakhi concerts are organized in every area in the morning. We participate in this cultural event with great enthusiasm. The largest Baishakhi cultural event in Bangladesh is held in the shadow of Dhaka city, where thousands of artists participate. Soon after, Bengalis participated in the Mars procession organized by Dhaka University. It is decorated with various banner festoons and large works of art. Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the procession. In this procession people wear different colorful clothes and like to decorate themselves in different ways. The girls wear flower crowns on their heads, wear red or white saris and dye their hands with henna.
"Peace Parade"
This peace parade is held on Pahela Boishakh. A huge number of people gather here with lot of banner, fastoons to welcome the Bengali new year. We all believe that by celibrating this way the coming new year will be great to us.
"Panta rice and fried hilsa fish"
Panta rice and fried hilsa fish we eat in the morning on the first day of Boishakh. It is our tradition and the food is very tasty and nutritious.
" Baishakhi Mela"
One of our impeccable Baishakhi celebrations is the Baishakhi Mela. This Baishakhi Mela is usually available to buy a variety of local items. In addition, the fair has a variety of rides for children, including Nagar Dola I used to wait for this day every year when I was young because Nagar Dola was my favorite thing. Moreover, different types of toys for children are sold in this fair Moreover, different types of sweets are found here.
The celebration of Pohela Boishakh has a profound effect on our Bengali life. On this day, Bengalis celebrate the day with joy like themselves. Through this the feeling of brotherhood and harmony is manifested in us. Therefore, the celebration of Pohela Boishakh is the best event of Bengali life.
