Marriage is a union of two minds and a family. In our country, marriage is a matter of great organization and great joy. Marriage means that a man and a woman are allowed to live together, and are socially accepted. From our religious point of view marriage has a great value. Our wedding is celebrated with much pomp and circumstance. The joy of marriage is truly indescribable.

The ceremony of turmeric paste on the body is mainly done before marriage. In this ceremony turmeric paste is applied on the bride's house and turmeric is applied on the groom's house. It is a part of our wedding ceremony, You must know that turmeric paste has many medicinal properties, it enhances the radiance of the skin. Moreover, everyone thinks it is auspicious

Basically, the wedding ceremony is a Bengali wedding The main event. Here the groom's party with huge people go to the bride's house just like a guest. Originally the wedding ceremony was held at the girl's house. The groom sits in the seat reserved for her and the marriage is called by calling Kazi. Kazi is the person who teaches marriage. Here a few witnesses are kept at the wedding so that they can solve any problem in the future. At the wedding a certain amount of money is fixed as a dowry, which the groom has to pay to the bride. It is an extraordinary rule here that the bride is given the highest respect. After the marriage, Barapaksha brought the bride to his house after eating and drinking there. It is a wonderful occasion where countless people come to rejoice and bless the bride and groom. And to be honest, the two families are flooded with joy.

After the marriage, Barapaksha brought the bride to his house. Within a few days of the wedding, a special Bauvat ceremony is organized at the groom's house, which means a huge dinner. Here the groom invites everyone to the bride's house, so the people of the bride's house go to eat at the groom's house with their relatives. Moreover, the groom invites and feeds the people of his whole area. This creates a very nice colorful atmosphere. Everyone eats with full stomach and prays for the bride and groom with all their heart.

I think marriage means the union of two souls and the union of two families. In the present age there are many women and men who are attracted to each other and are having court marriages which is never desirable. Even if the two minds are reconciled, family reunion may not happen. Moreover, later incidents like marital quarrels and divorces are happening. It is very difficult to find happiness in such a marriage. So everyone will be called to marry with the permission of the family in this wonderful rule and enjoy a happy life. I don't really think marriages are necessary for man and women to live together in todays age, times are changed!!
Also, I don't think family's permission is required if you marry someone, if you like someone its your wish to marry that person, but anyway...nice photos.
Marraiages to me are so damn stressful and costly, so many rituals its irritating...and there is no gaurentee the actual married life will be sucessful. Your really lucky if you got a good life partner really!!
