It has been two months since I got the book 48 Laws of Power and I have not been motivated to read. I have a daily goal of reading at least a book each month so the only way to motivate my goal is to create content sharing my thoughts on each Law I read.

In the video above, I discussed the first two laws of power according to Robert Greene.
Never Outshine the Master: In short, in everything you do, always make your master feel relevant.
Never put too much trust in friends, and learn how to use enemies: it’s easy to trust friends, they feel you owe them a favour and would not hesitate to betray you.

This is a great motivation. Sometimes reading seems like an arduous journey, motivation is just the thing we need to get us started on it.
These two laws are inspiring. The second law is quite similar to the saying "keep your friends close and your enemies closer"
I have had this book sitting in my phone library for a while now, and not once have I opened it. But now reading your post, I think I will give it a try.
So now, have you given the book a try?
I slack once in a while reading my books as well. Once I miss a day, a trail of missed days tends to follow.
The first law sounds similar to the "let the other person save face" chapter by Dale. I mean, no one likes to look inferior; how much more ones superior looking inferior?
I've heard about this book a lot, but I haven't felt drawn to read it. It'll be nice to have your excerpts every now and then for a while.
I like the way you relate it to HTWF. This book, I have to finish it or else it would be difficult for me to move forward.
So true, I find myself in these situations so many times and getting back on track is not always easy
What I do to help myself sometimes is to forget that I slacked, and then tell myself to brood over it and forge ahead again. Forgetting I slacked helps me to not keep slacking.
I've missed you around. How are you?
That is a great mechanism, it takes the guilt of slacking away.
Am good, I missed you too
When it comes to Reading books , I have been so lazy on that...my procrastination is just out of proportion..lol
These are powerful laws here
The first one says a lot about someone so dear to me...it contributed to a problem he has been going through...I wish he knows about this better and avoided some steps.
Nevertheless, some people only learn by their mistakes.
The second law is also a great lesson to me
This is an interesting book 📚
Expecting the next part of the review
Good job 👍
The next part of the review should have been done but life has a way of keeping me pretty occupied.
Sorry about your friends who facing challenges due to what the first law says I hope things work out for him.
The next part of the review should come soon.
It’s been a while a read any psychology and self help book, I am big on fiction. But I really did enjoy reading the 48 laws of power it really has many powerful quotes and teachings to apply to real life scenarios.
I don't know fiction books, it takes me to sleep and get bored. I derive motivation from these psychology self help books.
Cool, self help books does the same thing fiction does to you, to me although I read one once in a while.
I've read the book and I still have it with me. I read it over and over again and never get tired. The first law that says never outshine the master really talks about being careful not to do "I too know" . Your master can feel unsecured if he discovered you are more intelligent and that can bring you down. I love the book, but there are some things I disagree with because it kinda contradict some of his declarations or stories. However, every bit makes a whole lot of sense. Read on boss.
Never outshine a master ! That law oozes much loyalty !!
