this flower is none other than "Rosa regusa" which is usually planted by residents as an ornamental plant in their front yard, rosa regusa has thick flower petals and small flower stalks when compared to Chinese roses, at first glance you will think that she is a chinnes rose, I admit that rosa regusa and chinese roses do have similarities, but if you look closely, you will find some big differences between the two.
in the past this beautiful flower was often used by girls for bathing materials, they sprinkled rosa regusa in a small container like a "bucket" made of bark and then they took water from the container which had mixed the scent of flowers for them to bathe, yeah in the past there was a flower bath in Indonesia, but recently that belief has faded and we can't even find it.
Rosa rugosa is a species of rose native to east Asia, in northeastern China, Japan, Korea, and southeastern Siberia, where it grows on beaches, often in sand dunes. It should not be confused with Rosa multiflora, which is also known as the "Japanese rose". The Latin word "rugosa" means "crumpled", referring to the wrinkled leaves.Wikipedia
