Catch a wave and make a splash.

Since my childhood my parent always taught me not to play with Water, Fire and Electricity. It is always important to be careful around water, electricity, and fire. While there is a genuine reason to avoid Fire and Electricty, as one may give shocks and the other may burn us into ashes. But how water can be dangerous for us. The source of life can be dangerous too? The bitter life lessons was learned in a hard way. This makes me to be more cautious around water.

Water is dangerous because it can cause drowning, even in small amounts, especially for young children who can not lift their heads out of shallow water. A child can drown in just a few inches of water, which is especially risky for toddlers and young children who are top-heavy and can't lift themselves out. In my childhood, while playing around our village river water I was narrowly saved from drowning. The river was not shallow, my cousin who were part of village were fully aware of their if and bits of the river. In one particular area surrounded by heavy boulders, One of my cousin stand in the neck deep water. It appears that the water level is upto his head. Unaware of the situation and risk, I jumped into it, only to find me searching for the bottom. The depth was much than expected, in process of finding the bottom, I gulped few litre of water. It sounds funny, but if you are not aware of the place never get yourself into playful mood. It may put our life to risk. Thanks to the presence of my cousin I was timely pushed towards the shore and saved.

Sometimes you sink. ....

It was a nice little experince that may push back out of fear or may force me to learn swimming. In the initial days after the incident, I was afraid of going to river front. The thought of drowning was there. My cousin on the other hand was making fun of my bulky body. While others wanted me to learn swimming. Learning swimming is important because it provides a full body workout that improves both physical and mental health. Knowing how to swim is a critical safety skill that can prevent drowning in emergencies and accidental situations. After the incident, I wanted to get over my fear and wanted to learn swimming. But then I moved to the city, where there was no swimming option. It was a small town where I spent my childhood. There was no access to pools and neither any ponds or river where I could improve my swimming skills.

If there's a will, there's a wave.

Learning to swim takes consistent practice. As I grow older, and handling differrnt responsibility the urge to learn swim died. Many people did not have the time or ability to attend lessons regularly. And this what marred me from taking further swimming lessons. In the meantime, I went to few waterpark and learned to stay afloat on water. I get deep inside the pool area and never had the fear to avoid water. I enjoy the little swimming in the playful time. Now, learning swimming is faraway from reach. There no facility around and no good instructor who could help me enhancing my swimming skills. But I enjoy splashing in the waves. Last year i went to beach a d enjoy lot of swimming with the sea waves.

In good faith - Peace!!

I'm kind of trying to imagine the fear that filled your mind back then when you were about drowning and it actually sounds nice and impressive that the incident didn't make you have a phobia for swimming but rather long to know better on how to swim.

I hope to have such spirit someday but right now I prefer the normal land and walking in erosion 😁
