Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change !

Moving out from the glamorous city life and settling in my rural home is one of the biggest decision of my life. No one could have thought of such transition. It is a major shift of lifestyle for an individuals. It is not easy for person who was born and brought up in city, spent nearly half of his lifespan in glittering life, suddenly decide to relocate to an unknown territory which is not favorable. But thanks to my parenting and some hard lesson learnt throughout the life, I swiftly made the move. I have learned to adapt in any condition, irrespective of the fact, if it allows me comfort or not. Adaptability is the key and after spending 8 long years in village, I must say I never had any issue.

During my office days, I have seen my colleagues quite choosy about their office chairs. Office chairs are not something that an employee own. They were selected to carry out office task, but finding them choosy about chairs is surprising. Chairs at office are of same size and pattern. But still some of the employee gets too choosy about their chairs. They do not want it to be replaced or share it with anyone, they always like to sit on it. I always find it strange watching colleagues arguing over a chair, some used to put some marks to identify the chairs. The reason for doing such stranger things is that they, they find comfort in one chair and does not want to see it changing. In my opinion one should not be so rigid about any particular things in their life. This is one such example where an individuals were not ready to use another chair, only because they get habitual to one of their chair and find comfort in it. This is where adaptability is important why to be so habitual on something which is not yours. What if the person leave the job, they are not taking the chairs with them.

From the concrete jungle to the actual jungle

People relocating from a city to a village face challenges like a lack of job opportunities and lower income potential, limited access to quality healthcare and education. They may also experience difficulties adapting to a rural lifestyle, which requires more self-reliance and can involve a "culture shock" from the different pace and social dynamics. Likewise people relocating to city from a village, find many things unusual. The absence of culture and tradition surprised them. And then the glittering lifestyle of city always make them feel embarrassed. They face challenges too in communicating, adapting and adjusting to the new environment. This is where adaptation is important. In my own perspective, a person should be open for any situation.

Staying flexible in my approach to life.

Adaptation is the key for survival. Every human beings should be open for adaptation because it allows them to survive and thrive across diverse environments by making biological and cultural adjustments. This process of adaptation has enabled humans to overcome multiple challenge. Neither a city nor a village is inherently better. The "better" place for an individuals depends on the life priorities. Each of the location offers a different set of advantages and disadvantages. Cities generally provide more job and educational opportunities, better infrastructure, and cultural amenities, but can be more expensive and stressful. Villages offer a more peaceful lifestyle, a closer connection to nature, and a strong sense of community, but may have limited access to modern healthcare, education, and career prospects.

After being into both lifestyle, I started preferring my village more than the city. With each passing days, there is ongoing development and rural areas are too coming up with better civic amenities. But the rush and crowd are still far away as we generally find them in city. I am glad I found the sacred space and if needed I can found my base in urban areas too.

In good faith - Peace!!
