Is education a scam?

in Hive Learners2 years ago

Hi everyone, this is my entry into the weekly featured contest. I want to share my point of view about the topic, "Is education a scam?". I will not force you to agree with my point of view. But as I belong to a developing country. I will discuss our education system and its worth. The literacy level is low, but the point on which I want to focus is this: Do all literate persons benefit from their degrees? I think these degrees are worthless for most people.

Education is limited to books:
Education makes us conscious. But at present education is limited to books only.No attention is paid to children's morals. Is only learning from books an education? In practical life, we have to do a lot of jobs that demand skills.

No Career counseling:
From the beginning, we should do better counseling for our children related to their subjects and jobs. There is none to observe the personality of a child, what subject he should select and what job would be better for him. A student walks blindly but does not know where his destination is? Every parent wants to make his child a doctor or an engineer but does not know the interest of his child. Parents don't even know the caliber of their child. These factors disturb a child physically, mentally, and emotionally.

No guarantee of a job:
We get an education for better employment, but if we are educated, what is the guarantee that we will get a better job? As the resources are limited, the job vacancies are also short. Due to the shortage of resources, the worth of degrees has dropped, and their duration has increased. People prefer to become skillful instead of getting an education and spending a lot of money on a degree. Students depend on their parents for education. There should be opportunities for a part-time job to meet the expenditures of a student.

Closing of topic:
Getting a job has become a dream of the nation. But everyone is disappointed, therefore wants to become skillful, because most of the population is poor and can't afford personal business. If the resources and job opportunities would be increased, the students will take more interest in education. Education must also include skills necessary for doing a job.

Yeah, it is sad that people will go through the school system completely and there will be no jobs waiting for them when they are done. That is just how life is.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Thank you to like this post.No doubt education is necessary. It gives us knowledge about everything but knowledge is not enough in life, without a good job we can't survive.

Glancing at the environment and society we are having I found out education is a business. If you wouldn't hold a degree your future would be respectable. But you are right it is being taken as the source of employment.

Does education has the aim to shuffle the darkness of our ethics into the optimistic side? If not it's a scam for sure.

But the need of the hour is to bring improvements in the education system😍
Thoughtful enough for everyone who only seeks a degree for a good future.

@ayesha-malik you are right. Education has become a business. We just pay for it because we want it back in our life. Knowledge is light, it is really necessary to recognize the world but without employment, we can't survive.

Nice blog and beautifully covered the topic. I think you had much more to say, why hold back? If what you wrote got people glued to your blog then even people will read 2000 words. xD

Simply, if you have more to say don't hold back.

I considered that lengthy writings can't hold the attention of readers. Maybe I would be wrong but I will consider this point next time Thank you to comment and for your kind suggestion.

I write sometimes 2000 words and believe me curators are used to reading faster. 500 is a standard of writing for me in my personal opinion. Your writing seems like you wanna say more but kept yourself holding back thinking people will not read. I READ.
