Talents are our innate abilities and skills that we can practically do without having had any prior training, While some talents can be developed to become better, it's still simpler for someone who has it naturally to study more in-depth aspects of it.
While for some it is much easier because the talent are quick to identify, for others it may take some time for the talent to become obvious. In any case, it is always a good idea to discover our talent, For the majority of people, parents and elderly people in the area are the ones who observed their activities and realized such a kid is talented in such a particular area.
𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝘼𝙂𝙀 𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙄 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙄 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝘼 𝙏𝘼𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙏?
It took several years before i discover o also have a hidden talent, prior to that I've alway feel inferior to others kids and people around me when I see them exhibit their talents, I usually wish I could do what they do, but as much as I try to do what they does, I discover I just can't, so that left me wondering if I was created talentless.
At age 15, I find out I had a talent of my own. It suddenly occurred to me, and I later understood I had it all along.
𝙃𝙊𝙒 𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙄 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙍?
Around the time I became 15, I realized I had a talent for anything fashionable that required handiwork, and the first thing I started doing was plaiting and styling my sister's hair in whichever way I could think of.
Not only that, but I also discovered I have a talent for coming up with unique designs whenever we want to decorate the church. Funny enough, I was already talented in this area before I was 15, but I didn't realize it until then. I remember always receiving compliments from those with whom I decorate the church; on some days, they even wait for me to come up with ideas.
I then start dabbling in other hand crafts, such as sewing and shoemaking.
𝙃𝙊𝙒 𝙁𝘼𝙍 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝙄 𝙂𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙈𝙔 𝙏𝘼𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙏?
Since I've discovered my skills, I've experimented with several parts of handcraft and recognized that I'm only competent at the fashion-related ones. This realization inspired me to develop my abilities by learning more in shoemaking and tailoring, and now I'm able to do both so wonderfully.
My parents forbade me from pursuing a career as a hair stylist, so I abandoned that field. Nevertheless, I still love to decorate churches and have even been hired to do so for several events centers.
That's pretty much it for my skill, how I found it, and the extent of my exploration.

This is exactly my case with my son right now ☺️. The boy is just a 🥁 drummer boy. In school and in church and at home, he wouldn't allow anyone have peace until you allow him to drum. However, I am working on nurturing this talent of his to become better.

Yea it's always much easier for kids if parents can help them identify their talents on time, and also help them groom it to a substantial level, that will greatly help the kid in the future.
Keep up the good work with him and always encourage him, if possible let him have your phone for few minutes to learn different drumming style on YouTube and co.
Their mindset was that , how can a man be fixing hair for a woman, I no too blame them, na deeper life them dey go then.

Seriously, I envy guys who are into hair dressing and are hairstylists. They have this soft spot in my heart that makes me think they are good than females. But we all are unique in whatever skill or talent we have.
I saw most of your shoes you designed sometimes back and they are lovely. We just need to keep getting better at what we do which is our talent and we will be great.

You have got some wonderful talents and it's a nice thing you are doing all of it beautifully and wonderfully.
Most parents do not like their child going into hair styling irrespective if the child's gender, which I still wonder why.
But really, I like and appreciate a male stylist than a female stylist. Probably it's because all of my stylist over the years are male.
