Deepfake is a technology most people have viewed as a very dangerous innovation that can be used for various bad intentions that can go on to ruin an individual's reputation and life, and that's very true because we've seen that play out on several occasions due to the hyperrealistic videos of an AI version of such a person saying things that can cause tension and unrest in the society. However, beyond that, it's worth noting that deepfake actually has its good side and can be used for a lot of positive things that can improve lives and make the world a better place, so to show how true that is, below I'll be talking extensively about some good aspects of deepfake technology and how it can be used.
One of the areas deepfake can be used for something positive is for film or movie projects. Say, for example, the production manager wants to create a younger version of an actor or an actress; rather than looking for a double and doing excessive makeup, they can easily use this technology to create a younger version of the person. Under the field of health care, this technology can also be instrumental in training doctors and medical practitioners. Deepfake technology can be used to create a training simulation that guides doctors and emergency responders on what is expected of them during different medical issues.
As a teacher, I can't help but also think of some of the various ways deepfake can help in my field, so deepfake can go a long way in improving teaching and learning when we use it to create interactive historical lessons whereby the students will see and hear a historical figure such as Albert Einstein teaching them or encouraging them to take their academics seriously. Such can also be used as a teacher to create diverse lessons and tutorial guides that would be sent to students, with the belief that you're the one talking and teaching them, not knowing it's deepfake artificial intelligence.
Another aspect where deepfake technology can really aid our lives positively is in the aspect of marketing and advertisement. As a business owner, you can create a hyperrealistic version of yourself doing advertisements for your business and can even choose a location of your choice. The same would even help out business owners who are too shy to face the cameras or aren't bold enough, because such deepfake technology would be a lifesaver that helps them do what is needed for their business to gain traction and visibility that'll help their business further.
That's about it on the numerous good ways or forms deepfake can be used and the positive impact it'll have on us, our students, businesses, and the like. Yes, I understand that it's mostly seen as being dangerous, and I can't disregard it being so, but beyond that, it can be a blessing in disguise that can help in various fields and works of life and help people do things at least and from their place of comfort without going through much stress that they would have undergone had they done the things they use deepfake for themselves.
