Freedom Convoy 2022: Hundreds of trucks roll through BC to protest vaccine mandates in Ottawa!

in Canada4 years ago (edited)

▶️ Big rigs and other trucks are heading to Canada's capital, gathering momentum as they go! These are the people who deliver the food and other essentials to our shops. Many of them aren't okay with being forced to take ineffective and dangerous injections for a mild, endemic, common cold virus! I captured great footage of this historic moment, as the Freedom Convoy rolled through BC's Interior, headed toward Alberta and then across the continent! The support from the public was MASSIVE!

It's super exciting to see what most people around me don't have a clue about. Everone I talk to has no idea that this is happening. They know about cases and closings etc..... but not a clue about this.

I know some are saying that this is what the governments want. Even if they did, this is a way to show many others that they are not alone. It could result in disaster for many but if everyone just sits back and does nothing, we won't have a chance in hell.

Thanks for the video and all of your work.

Thank you!

"some are saying that this is what the governments want"

All activism is met with the same opposition, and "it's a trap!" is always a favourite! (Others are "you don't even know what your cause is" and "protest never accomplishes anything".)

When governments are tyrannical, they know there will be a reaction from the people. They generally pre-plan for that reaction, especially nowadays. All this is simulated by AI before they try anything. They love to encourage opposition to protest by encouraging the above tactics using traditional media, social media, and politics. We (the people) have to be aware of these tactics, and do our own pre-planning. That means educating each other and being ready to point out the tactics when they arise.

People like thatcryptodave are falling for the tactics, likely because they've never been involved in activism and have never taken the time to try and understand it, or the issues involved. They are the ones playing right into the hands of the elites, while they sit back saying "you're playing right into the hands of the elites".

Thank you to everyone in the convoy, and all those who cheered them on, supported them with donations to cover expenses, and uploaded footage!

@hempy(1/1) gave you LUV. H-E tools | connect | <><

An epic event! Look at all those ordinary freedom-loving Canadians, many of whom have maybe never protested before, gathering for hours in the winter to support these brave truckers. Thanks to everybody who went. I wish I could have gone.

You took care of the house and 1.5 babies, so @Drutter could attend and support, as well as capture this footage for the blockchain. Great job <3

Watched the videos. Very good and patriotic.
I love Canadians in general.

This protest was pandemic! Looks like there were people at every highway town from coast to coast to support that convoy! People from other towns close to the highway probably convoyed to the convoy hahah! Excellent to see, eh! True North strong and free !LUV

My biggest question is: why are they planning to get to Ottawa on a Saturday? Will they be staying there indefinitely until their demands are met? And I don't see any mention of blocking border crossings or anything like that. Is it just me... or would a genuine uprising of angry truckers feel much more chaotic and dangerous? It just smells off-- a little too controlled.

I'm just thinking out loud. I want all of the things they claim to be fighting for, so I hope I'm way out in left field concocting absolute fairy tales. But god damn... none of the opposition proponents ever say or do anything to step outside the approved boundaries. I want to be wrong this time.

Saturday? They will likely arrive late, convoys are notoriously hard to coordinate. And this might get really really big.
But the media is doing everything they can to downplay it.
My comments attempting to spread truth on their story (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/freedom-rally-bc-jan-23-1.6324942) were all deleted, and I've been banned. I didn't break any rules, I just spoke the truth about what I saw today.
I know some of the people involved, and it's completely grassroots. The gofundme set up to cover their fuel has been seized by Trudeau because he considers the convoy "terrorists". People were throwing bagged lunches and money into open truck windows in a few spots.

They say they're getting to Ottawa on the 29th... which is a Saturday. And I do believe there are genuine people involved, but I think they'll be upset when this turns out to be another virtue signal.

Nasty attitude.

I want what they want... but I've also tried to take part in past movements that were led nowhere purposely. I want these truckers to block border crossings and weigh stations... I want them to cause havoc and bring the government to its knees, not just make a political statement over the weekend.

Sorry if I sound bitter and skeptical... it's grown on me over the last two years.
