Hello and welcome back to my page. I am @daniky. This is the day 183 of my entry into the #IAmAliveChallenge, an initiative presented by Eric Gustafsson @flaxz. Below is my senior friend by name, Mr. David. Shout-out from him and his lovely kids and making efforts to onboard him on hive soon.
#hiveisalive, it has been an awesome day and usually known to be a busy day as well because it's a working day.
I was so excited to get the breaking news regarding my longtime friend and roommate (Mr. David) who got a job as a director in an oil company. This news came as a shock to many because they never expected it knowing fully how difficult it is to get a job in an oil company in Nigeria.
Getting a good paid job is never an easy task or a bed of roses in Nigeria due to the fact that the rate of unemployment is geometrically increasing on a daily basis. Today, many graduates are walking helter-and-sketer seeking for job to earn a living but this never materialized for them due to lack of job, connection and favoritism on the part of employers. Many unemployed youths and graduates of today have become perpetual armed robbers, prostitutes, drug dealers, human traffickers and many more due to frustration. In a bid to promise job seekers a befitting employment many innocent youths had suddenly become victims of kidnappers while many had been wrongly accused and convicted. Despite all these, man needs to survive.
I lost touch of David the moment i left for school many years ago and got to see him again today on video call. He was also shock by the news and was in tears of joy when he got a confirmation mail of his letter of appointment.
There are so many attributes i learnt from David lifestyle which ranges from his sense of humour, humility, consistency, self-discipline, integrity, diligence and many more. Among all these qualities, the one that amazes me most is his level of timeliness. You dare not give david an appointment to meet you somewhere by 7am, he'll Definitely be their at most 30 minutes before time. He is always truthful and will never make out figures other than the required. He's self-discipline in all ramifications and always gives respect to whomever it deserves. He's religious and never discriminate or looks down on anyone. He ensures he add value at wherever place he finds himself and he's a goal getter. Of a truth, he deserves the position given him and i wish him greater heights ahead.
Life is a mirror it shows you back to yourself and that means there's no hidden thing under the sun. It pays to take a move in life and never relent on what ever good path you've taken. So be consistent, persistent, focussed, resourceful and diligent in whatever you do and wherever you finds yourself in life as these will definitely pay you right for life. Never underestimate anyone in life because you never know what tomorrow holds for them. It takes a second for a life to get transformed. David's victory is one of a big lesson to many. Despite the thrive and hardship he encountered for many years, he got his victory.
Be grateful for the life you have and never prioritize any material things over your life and integrity. He real and stand for the the truth. Then see life becoming a desirable path for you to thread.
