Well, the baby watch is over, because we have our new baby! It's a girl, her name is not official yet, she is 8 lbs, 10 oz and 21.5" long. It was a quick birth for us, only about 3 hours.
After coming home yesterday, I had some diner and discussion with my wife. She was cleaning and preparing things, moving the two littlest's beds into my office because she felt like baby would be arriving soon.
We didn't know how soon! As we were talking, her water broke and the birthing process began around 10:15 PM. We called the midwives and on it went from there.
Fast forward to 1:15 AM, I had the honor of "catching" my newest little one. I identified her as a girl, handed her to mommy and she snuggled up to her. All the siblings were sleeping except my oldest. They came in an met their newest little sister!
The next morning all the family spent time with the new baby. She looked curiously around at all the voices, as her eyes hadn't opened yet.

The whole family is happy that the baby was born so quickly and without incident. We couldn't have asked for a more swift and manageable birth. And daddy got to catch the baby, cut the cord and weigh her. What an honor and a privilege to be given such responsibilities as daddy and to have such intimate involvement in this birth.
I am delighted to have another daughter. This makes a total of five girls and two boys, father of SEVEN (!!!) children.

I love it!! Congratulations! 7 babies!! What a blessing!! I'm so glad that things went well for the birth and how blessed mama is for it to have gone so quickly and without any complications.
